Your review is very detailed, but in a way that's not filler-filled; I'm inspired by it I must say.

The story itself sounds gritty, dark and thrilling, which is right up my alley! Thank you for your review, I've already added this one into my shelve for future probing.

This book does cover a lot of dark and unpleasant themes, but they seem to be handled in a realistic manner, even if we—people in general—don’t want to admit it, so they could be thought-provoking, albeit a little disturbing. I’m also intrigued by a supernatural/fantasy book that takes place in South Africa, so long as the country is accurately depicted. Thank you for the helpful review.

With all that Vander is being challenged by he's still inspirational. This book has painful themes but it seems interesting. Well detailed review.

A story of a young, impoverished boy as he grapples with his abusive and neglectful parents and strange supernatural ability. This book also deals with racism and gender discrimination. Congrats on botd!

This book contains disturbing scenes that are not for the faint of heart. It's great that issues on racism and sexism are tackled in the story. The protagonist is too young to experience hardships, but I'm sure a lot of people can relate. Congratulations on the BOTD.

Vander's story seems like a very intriguing one. I'd love to know what this supernatural gift that gives him access to a terrifying world where he finds reprieve is. Great review.

Wow, I can't help but be fascinated by this statement ''readers may feel guilty catching themselves admiring the twisted work of ‘the sculptor,’ a violent killer." in your review. Thanks for an interesting review.

The delicate themes that this book cover makes me uncomfortable. I cannot imagine that a nine year old kid would undergo such abusive environment, with his own parents mainly the source of it. Because of these themes such as graphic death and violence, I would have to pass on this. Those who love reading this genre would surely enjoy this, though. Congrats BOTD!

One of the very fascinating features of the novel is the supernatural gift possessed by the protagonist. It makes me wonder, how could the main character use that gift to his advantage in outsmarting the serial killer. Congratulaions to the author for BOTD!

This novel seems to offer an intriguing medley of themes; however, the abundance of dark themes makes me a little hesitant to take this up. Thanks for the awesome review though!
