I love vampire stories. This books seems captivating. Was John kidnapped by Alexander McGill? I guess I'll just find out after reading the book! Great review!

Compelling presentation, sadly fantasy fiction, especially those involving vampires is not my thing at the moment so I'll have to pass on this one. But congratulations on being listed as Book of the day.

Mark Graves seems to be a very creative and imaginative fiction writer. Here's his skills in writing a vampire series. Interesting contrast between the vampire who wants to save human beings and the vampires who are immoral. You are so good in reviewing the book. Congratulations on the BOTD!

The vampire arc is quite intriguing. I wonder if John and Alexander will ever meet. I'll check this book out.

I am fascinated by how John's discovery of the journals would change his life forever. I am also intrigued by how Alexander McGill tried to prevent immoral vampires from taking over the human race.

As book One of a clever new vampire trilogy, "Children of the Eighth Day" by Mark Graves, begins our acquaintance with a curious soon-to-be-16 year old named John Jones. Jones spies a light in a house that should not be there and he decides to investigate. As he roams the empty house makes a discovery. The discovery contains details of a vampire that is trying to save the victims of vampires that do not care about human life. The “Boss” has sent out the word that the information must be found and brought to him, but is it too late to contain the information?

The premise is interesting. I am fond of the C/T/M/H genre, not so much of stories with vampires. But I would definitely give this one a try because the review makes a very strong case for this book. Also, I love the cover! Congratulations on BOTD!

Being that it's the first book of a series I would expect to encounter some grammatical errors, but I'm sure throughout the other books most were addressed. It sounds like a great book with the type of violence expected from a vampire story. By the reviewers description, I look forward to reading it

Vampire stories are the most scary ones in novels and drama but right from childhood I love listening to stories that creates fear within the mind of the listener, and this review just remind me of those days.
