I must say m not really a fun of crime related things at first the cover didn't really intrigue me,at first but the moment I viewed it I was so astonished it is,well edited nd the way the author staged it is definitely a good thrilling crime solver drama

I enjoyed your review. I don't care much for serial killer books, but this one sounds interesting as it focuses on the killer's mind. Might have to read it.

Your review caught me on the first sentence:
Have you ever delved into the mind of a serial killer?
I'm really glad to know that this is the second book in the series, but also that it is capable of standing alone. Like many of the others who have commented, I will probably go back and read the first book first-- especially given the strength of your recommendation.

I am especially interested in this detail:
Gallagher wrote him in such a way that it made me have mixed feelings about him.
More than genre, I enjoy books that make you think. I also have great admiration for authors who are able to allow us, as readers, to step into the shoes of someone unexpected and to consider his or her point-of-view for a while. The bad guy vs. bad guy nature of this book provides a perfect opportunity for this. I wonder whether, in the end, I will be left questioning who is more wrong.

Thank you for your review. This sounds like a good match for me.

Even though this one could work as a standalone, I'd prefer to start with the first of the series. I do think the premise of this one is interesting though - seeing things from the point of view of the serial killer instead of the typical cop/detective POV is definitely unique. Glad you liked this one so much. Thanks for the insightful review!

This one sounds too gory for my taste but I think the complex characterization and motivations of Craig could make for an interesting book. Thanks for the review and to the author for the book.

Thanks for the great review. I enjoyed the sample and your review was written in a way that left a lot of unanswered questions about what was to happen in the book. This makes me want to read it even more. Thank you again!

I'm always fascinated by books (and movies, shows, etc) that flip the script and tell the story from the 'unexpected' perspective. This one sounds terrific! Thanks for the excellent review!

As somebody who has claim to many thrillers on her bookshelf, I am deeply interested in the premise of this one!

Although the serial killer out for revenge is a tad generic, the ideology behind the killer going after the Vatican, who had abused him as a child, is wholly new to me, and one that I wish to delve in to. A bit of FBI romance doesn't go amiss, either.

The review is great, it felt honest and refreshing. :techie-studyingbrown:

Interesting review! I have read the sample story of "Serial K Returns." At the beginning I was a bit confused trying to recognize who the Ripper was but eventually I got the drift. I even thought it was Lyons the reporter, but it was not because Breedlove, did killed him too. Like you I would concentrate on Breedlove while reading the book, the FBI role is interesting too, but the Ripper is more exciting although there is some tense moments. I definitely going to read this book because I enjoy reading crime thrillers.

I really don't like to start a series out of sequence but the review makes it seem as though this book would work perfectly well as a stand alone. I do enjoy a good thriller and the plot line of the killer getting his revenge on those who probably deserve it kind of reminds me of Dexter, a series I love. So, I might check this one out.

Serial Killer Returns by Brian Gallagher looks like a fantastic thrill ride of a story. I love probing in to the mind of a killer and looking at what makes them tick. I will have to search out the first in this series, Serial Killer as my OCD doesn't allow me to read books out of order. I am so looking forward to reading this series while camping this summer.

This will be a good read, and from your review it reminds me somewhat of the TV Series “Dexter” - a kind of likeable serial killer. Although not technically necessary I would like to read the first book in the series before starting on this one though.

I don’t see many novels such as this written in the serial killer’s viewpoint, so it sounds interesting. I think I could also feel sympathy for Craig due to his past, even if I don’t agree with his method of revenge.
