What a mysterious book. The tittle on the book is scary. It needs one to take heart in order to go through this novel. Anything to do with murder doesn't form part of my interest.

Art, action, and mystery sound like a perfect plot line. I think that I would really enjoy this, especially when trying to find out who the villain is and seeing the connection between the FBI agent and Leah.

It sounds great but it's to bad about the unrealistic parts of the plot, that would bother me a little to much. Great review.

A mystery novel written in a careful manner without explicit scenes seems to be a highly skilled way of writing by the author. Thank you for the review!

I love this kind of murder mystery book, especially on a rainy weekend when there is little else to do but read! In spite of the plot weaknesses here and there, this sounds like it is a very entertaining story, and one that I’d enjoy. Thank you for your comments.

I honestly have not read this book yet so I can’t say whether nor not i am going to be as affected by some of the flaws or not but I absolutely love this review because you do a great job laying out plot without any spoiler alerts but also pointing out the flaws you noticed in a very professional manner

This book definitely has mystery on it, characters were strong and you can actually feel the intensity of their emotions as you turn each page.

I'm a big fan of mystery books and this book seems to be right up my alley. I'm wondering what will happen to Leah and John Phelps and if Nate will manage to find the person behind the art thefts and solve the murder case. Thanks for your review!

I like a good mystery, but I'm not so sure about those little unrealistic plot holes. I agree, I wouldn't think that a hotel or resorts rooms or cottages wouldn't have locks on the outside nor that an FBI agent would let out his secret so easily. Perhaps it doesn't sound so unusual in context, but I'm not sure. Thank you for the helpful review.

Paint Her Dead by Wanda Shelton will be a great book to have while traveling alone to a resort where you do not know anybody. An FBI agent investigating art theft is found dead in a resort where Leah is staying for a weekend art workshop. There she meets another undercover FBI agent, who happens to be attractive and married, or so she thought, until he tells her he's single and yes, he's actually an FBI agent. I agree with teacherjh's review that this is a plot misstep, unless he's trying to excite her into helping him out with any information she comes upon, or he sees her as a suspect and employs some sort of reverse psychology to provoke her into action, or he's trying to score with her, which is unprofessional, right? Anyway, being a cozy mystery, there's going to be humor. I'm glad to read that, despite its flaws, teacherjh finds the book fun and enjoyable.

Mystery novels with action and romance are always appealing to me. Since this one is well-written, I wouldn't want to skip it. Thanks for your interesting review.
