A crime and mystery story about a serial killer. A confession that could crack the case. Can there be another way to find out who the killer is? Congratulations.

I like the concept of this book and one of my favorite writing devices is two narrators, especially in mysteries, even if one is through a journal like this. I like seeing conflicting perspectives as well as getting more depth to someone besides the protagonist.

This was a great review. I can't say that I would put it at the top of my reading list but I'm intrigued enough to take note of it. It feels like the author manages to write a decent mystery, despite the flaws.

I'm finding that I really enjoy books about crime and mystery, add the fact that the protagonist has psychic abilities is enough to really catch my interest.

The fact that the author can make X’s story writing style so unique to the rest of the book shows a lot of writing talent in my opinion. Great review! You made me even more interested in reading this book

I agree with you. Any story that lacks suspense has a bad ending and vice versa. I think authors must consider this very well. Writing a book involves a lot of effort and not just a pen and a paper. Good review.

I am really starting to seek out stories that contain an element of surprise in the writing such ad did one seems to have. The stories between the two characters, the writing styles reflecting those characters and so forth. Based upon your review, I am intrigued as to figuring out the mystery (if I can) before the end of the book. I look forward to reading it and hopefully the ending will not disappoint too much. Thanks for your thoughts! It is done very well!

The story's concept is really impressive. However, it could have been even better with a little more suspense added to it.

Thank you for a thorough review. I love a good crime/mystery novel. I read the sample pages and it piqued my interest. However, after reading your review I’m not sure if I want to finish it. The lack of suspense and the bizarre ending has me a little concerned. I do like that you didn't guess who it was until the end!

Sounds like an incredible crime and mystery novel. Unfortunately, there are traits highlighted in the book, as mentioned in the review, that don't interest me. I'll pass the book.

I wasn't expecting to enjoy a legal thriller with a paranormal twist, but I genuinely liked the author's writing style. I think he knows how to make his characters believable (not just Sam, but Scarfrowe, Amelia, Plosky, or sister Camille too). The murder case seems full of mystery and suspense as well. I'll add the novel to my reading list. Thanks for your review!
