I agree. I love the back and forth to get to know the characters. It keeps your interest to read on to see what will happen next.

Even though I usually enjoy crime drama and suspenseful fiction, I just don't think I care to read this one about 'what happened back then' and its repercussions now. Thanks for the review, just the same.

I find the premise of the book thrilling and mysterious. I love that the mystery explored while there are adults as other elements like misconstrued memories come into play. Congratulations to the author!

I found this story very interesting. Waves Break (on Unknown Shores) by Barry Litherland seems mysterious and have lots of secrets. I would love to read it.

Thanks for your review, looks like this book is my cup of tea. I don't really mind the profanity if that's how the author portrays their characters.

A novel closer to police novels, despite the satirical and comedic positions it contains.
Showing friendship is very good, especially if it extends to childhood.
A page-turning plot, a bunch of sophisticated characters, and an exciting puzzle with a twist of humor.
The schedule rotates from childhood years and is executed and edited without errors. A plot that brings together themes of friendship, betrayal, murder, violence, suspicion and loyalty.
Greetings to the writer and reviewer.

Can't say this isn't intriguing enough the more I read the story is slowly unveiled. That Wayne character is a handful. Interesting review

It is quite interesting to see friends from childhood break up due to problems. I will read it when I get it.

Too much profanity for me. I would not want to read the entire book. I grew up with someone like Wayne. The sample was more than enough for me. I

The profanity is not a problem if it aligns with the setting and the characters. A well written mystery novel with two alternating timelines would definitely make for an interesting read. Thank you for the excellent review.

The storyline is interesting. The characters of Phil and Wayne seem well-written. The book sounds to be a good page-turner. Looking forward to reading it. Congrats on BOTD!

The drama of childhood friends, with a murder twist and reunion at the end. This may be not for me. I opt for fantasy and more extraordinary events. The more removed from reality, the better. The escape from humdrum situations is more appealing to me. Thanks for the review.

Based on the cover, I wouldn’t have suspected that this book is a crime mystery. I had thought it might be a family saga, but instead, it is the story of childhood friends brought together in adulthood when their past returns to haunt them.
There is no frigate like a book
To take us lands away,
Nor any coursers like a page
Of prancing poetry.
This traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of toll;
How frugal is the chariot
That bears a human soul!
