I will say that this is not a book I would normally read. In reading through a bit of the book it just lost me and with the realism displayed through text, it played with my mind. I love the characters and the way the author chose to display traits we would naturally assume each person has in the plot. Perhaps a little less war and a little more family friendly wording would've won me over.

Fighting internal demons may be harder than fighting an external enemy unless one finds a reason to change. That reason must be stronger than the fear of the demons and the work it will take to conquer them.

This is the story of a Vietnam junkie, so to speak, who have smuggled marijuana into the US. But if he intends to just have a good life, and stop after this one fling, then we might as well just give it to him as a reward for his struggles in the war. Thanks for the review.
