The plot is certainly unusual and I am curious to know the ramifications of Ruby's decisions. Thanks for the review!

From the cover i didn't think the book is a thriller and a crime story. The plot of the book looks very interesting with a wide range of characters to engage with. Congrats on BOTD!!

Great storyline, interesting characters. Good writing.
Very gruesome in parts but I've read worse!
The authors is the father of a friend ( and I loved the short appearance of said friend!) so I was given this as a Christmas present. Must read his other books.
In all - an interesting idea & well put together

This book shows how one decision taken in desperation can lead to so many unexpected events. Things seem to have deteriorated rapidly for Ruby, who had to scramble to cover her secret and even hired her blackmailers. That sounds like so much unnecessary stress, and I suspect the secret still got out because things usually turn out that way. Thanks for the honest and informative review!

I love how this serious crime thriller novel sneaks in moments of warmth and humour to lighten the mood. And, the characters of Elizabeth and Ruby sound very interesting.

An detective/crime novel with an author as the main antagonist, now that's a twist. The book sounds really great and I would love to read more.

I agree that many people who have experienced being on top will do unimaginable things just for their status to remain. Congratulations to the author for BOTD!
