This fictional account of Juan's life shows how his lack of childhood influences him to think badly of himself.
It's fascinating to observe how the author captures Juan's character as insightful and vibrant. This book, in my opinion, has much to teach us about expanding our perspectives on other people's lives. Congrats on botd!

It's the first time I have come across the term bildungsroman. It will be interesting to read on how the protagonist Juan lives his life amid a life characterized by improper parenting. Great review.

That's an interesting title! It's a pity that there are so many people like Juan who have irresponsible parents and have to grow up way before their time.

The story of Juan will teach us, especially parents, the importance of a conducive environment when training children. Nice review.

I think this book is too emotional for me so I will pass on this one. Juan's story shows just how important a child's surroundings influence them their entire life. Thank you for the informative review.

The book explores the life of a Colombian man from childhood through his rise to riches in the drug trade and is for those who enjoy psychological thrillers and adventure fiction. Let's read it and see.

This seems to be a novel with touches of intrigue and suspense, involving some sensitive issues related to events that can shape the future life of a child. However, I must say that this story doesn't capture my attention, so this time I'll pass. Likewise, I hope that fans of this genre can enjoy this book.

I believe this is a unique approach that showcases the underbelly of a corrupted society yet does it in a gut-wrenching way. Thanks for the awesome review!

Just reading the sample told me this book would pull my emotions in many different directions. Your review cemented that idea. I'm definitely a lover of psychological thrillers, and I'm hoping to read this book through to the end.
I agree with you about the author's sprinkling of Spanish throughout the book. I also believe it makes the story not just more believable, but really makes it come to life. Thank you for your review. It was a good read in itself.
