A book with such unusual and well-researched details sounds intriguing, but the presence of the technical errors definitely takes this one off my TBR pile. Too bad. It's good that the reviewer enjoyed it nonetheless. A good review!

Nice to hear that the pros of the book outweighed the cons. I'm pretty indifferent about reading. Seeing as I'm not eager about the plot, I'll have to pass on this book for now. Thanks for the review!

This sounds interesting, though the 'magical money' aspect always makes me laugh. How do poor people afford airfares to Europe and nice hotels?

Good review. So far it is really good. Draws me in with UFOs and Nazis. I find both topics interesting and putting them together is fun.

It is a very intriguing plot, and the author's descriptive powers in the opening scene made me hopeful. It's clear from the very beginning that Gallagher did his research--however, I think he needs to hone his instincts on when to use his descriptions and background info. Often the way he inserted extra info distracted me from the essential action, and made reading the story confusing for me. I'm glad you enjoyed the book, & it seems like the author has promise, but the writing was not professional enough to keep me reading.

Now that's a different perspective. Were there really UFO landings on earth? Sounds interesting and challenging to read at the same time. Interesting because during that time period, they really had a fear of the unknown. It will be challenging because if you don't believe it existed, you really won't give the book a chance to broaden your mind. Your ratings demonstrates that it's a pretty good book. I'm not sure I want to indulge in reading it. :?:

A book about UFO is always a fun read, specially one with a historical angle, I get confuse easily if there are large cast and complicated plot. Definitely add this to my reading list.

Rarely can one predict enjoying a book based on the onlinebookclub review, but this book was my exception. The onlinebookclub review was superbly written and I knew the book could not disappoint. I rated the book 4 out of 4 stars.

This sounds like a very interesting premise. The Nazis being involved in a coverup about UFOs seems like it would be a fun read. I'm glad that the ending was good as that's important in a book like this. It's too bad about the errors but I guess you mostly overlooked them. Thanks for your review. It helped me understand this book more, after only reading a sample. Your review makes me want to read more.

I enjoyed your review it's very interesting. I am not sure if this one is for me but I will keep it and see. Maybe the desire to try and fill in the puzzle pieces you described will be stronger in time. I like authors who manage to make you feel like you are there in each place.

I was having problems trying to determine what was bothering me about this book. I struggled through a few pages of the sample and didn't seem interested in even finishing that. Although your review did help clarify some of the issues that I had with the story line of this book, I don't think I will be reading any more of it. The beginning had enough spark to entice me to read those pages but I couldn't connect with the plot and lost interest.

I don't know if I've ever heard of a story tying together the Vatican and UFOs. It sounds like an intriguing premise. Of course, I'm also a sucker for a book where the main character is a writer. Thank you for the insightful review!
