It feels good to know Altered Reality by Joel Knox is a crime thriller which includes mystery and suspense. Looks like, the reviewer has thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Thanks for your excellent review. I guess this book is for young and older adults, as this book is similar to X Men.

This book sounds really like a pager turner! I enjoy having to investigate the characters connections between each other and this novel looks like it is full of mystery. Your review has such great description of the story that I feel that I am already reading the book!Thank you(:

I was definitely thinking Avengers when I read the sample. I was so intrigued by the plot and wanted to read on to find out what happens next. The part about Samuel made me cringe a little bit feel bad for him at the same time. I will put this one on my list to read this summer!

Sounds like an incredible story line portrayed in the book. I'm glad that the book is a stand alone. This is why i will read the book; I love crime, horror and mystery genres and I've never tried a book that highlights elements of urban fantasy. I appreciate your insightful review.

Thank you for sharing your excellent review with us; I couldn’t have said it better myself. I also had flashback of the Jekyll/Hyde story and can see another superhero story in the making.

The cover of this book can really deceive you into thinking that this is a humble book and I like that. The fact that this is a C/T/H/M genre is really a surprise. Thanks for your great review.

Thanks so much for the great review. I enjoyed it as much as I'm sure I'll enjoy the fiction. I'm not afraid or grossed out of sensitive scenes. So, there's nothing to deter me from reading and the storyline of this fast-paced fantasy is really interesting confirming my decision to read it.

A sci-fi book with a lot of characters having supernatural powers, and filled with action scenes seems interesting. However personally, I am not into such kind of genre so I would pass this one. Thank you for the review!

I'm not really one to read a sequel first, but this book does sound interesting. I'm curious about the characters' powers, and I have been getting more into superhero-like works lately, so this book might be up my alley. I'll still want to read the first book before this one, but I'll definitely keep both of them on my "to read" list. Thank you for the helpful review.

I can see where the comparison to Marvel characters comes from. As I was reading the review, I could picture the characters in a very similar way. About the gory details, I have second thoughts because sometimes I can handle and even love them details. But there's a very thin line between the cool gory scenes and the disgusting ones. I would definitely have to read this book in order to find out.

I enjoyed this review. Thanks a lot!

Alters or humans with supernatural abilities sound like a thrilling story. Glad to know that it's a stand alone book. However, I'm not one who likes gory details so I think I'll skip this one. Thanks for this thorough review though.

Wow! I would like to explore the features and activities of these alters with supernatural powers controlling the atmosphere and electricity. Living life in the temple of Hong Kong might be difficult for the commoners, as these alters manipulate their surroundings for their own benefits.
