Great review! I really like how the author makes you have mixed emotions towards Craig's method of revenge. Those kinds of characters that make you constantly question them are some of my favorite because of their complexity.

Great review here and on Amazon! I swear between the reviews, the description, and the cover, I know I can't read this because I'll be dreaming about it and thinking about it long after I stop reading. I enjoy a good mystery, but it sounds like the author's writing skills are too real for me on this one! That cover totally creeped me out and actually startled me when I pulled it up on Amazon! I'll leave this one to you thriller fans. 🙂

This book deals with very serious topics such as brutal murders, molestation and the traumas they can cause in a fictional way. However, although they happen in real life, I'm not into these kinds of topics.

This sounds like a first rate thriller to me. I've been on kind of a kick with thrillers lately so this came around at the right time. Definitely sounds like an antagonist to be conflicted about. Great review. Thanks!

This sounds like an interesting book. Delving into the mind of a serial killer is both fascinating and scary. Yes, I agree that childhood trauma can really shape a person. I would probably have to read the first book first. Thanks for your review.

I'm always in for some candid crime story and it never gets old in my books. Review is pretty clear on most of the details but I'm actually looking forward to this one. The thing that saves me the most is that reviewer actually pointed out that I don't need to read first one to be able to devour this one. Very good work there Aubrey. Thanks.

I love the idea of exploring the serial killer's mindset and reason for being. As they say, evil isn't born, it's made. Thank you for the helpful review!

I liked the plot of the series. Craig being the victim assumes a new identity to avenge his mistransgretions. The priests obviously thought that they could get away with their atrocities but they deserved what was coming to them. The style of the killings was owesome. Sets up a thriller series. Good job author

Brian Gallagher's Serial K Returns dives into the world of a serial killer who has set out to bring justice to boys who have had the same or similar experience as he did as a child. In the previous Serial K, Craig Breedlove had been traumatized because he was molested by a priest. This caused Craig a great deal of pain and anger. A priest is supposed to be a good person, who you can turn to in your times of need. Unfortunately, these priests believe that even though they have sinned so badly, God forgives them. They honestly believe that they will still be welcomed into heaven. Even though murder is crazy, these priests have done something even crazier: ruined people's lives. If you murder someone, at least they wont live with the tragedy of rape or molestation.
Serial K Returns explains how the mind of a killer works and just how damaged one must be to take the lives of others. What makes a person tick? How much trauma or grief can a person handle? What thoughts run through your mind when you're a killer? Not only does Craig kill his victims, he does it in a gruesome manor that brings him satisfaction.
This book is quite interesting from a psychological standpoint and is a great murder investigation also with a twisted edge.

An interesting sequel to Serial K. It's saddening how some priests prey on children under their care. The novel brings out an eventuality such abuse can bring to the same kids once grown up. I grabbed this copy and I look forward to reading it.

This book is one of my favourites because of two reasons. First, you really get to experience what actually goes on in the mind of a criminal in a cutless and truthful manner. Secondly, this book takes you on a rollercoaster of so many emotions! Its the kind of book you sneak under your blanket because you just CANNOT put it down :)

It's always good when a sequel works well as a stand-alone. This book seems to have a bit of everything, with a flowing story, criminal psychology giving insights into the killer's mind, and the well-rounded characters of the FBI agents.
This post was brought to you by the word "specifically".

This is one of my genres, and even though the book is said to have some gory scenes, I think I want to read this one, to satisfy my curiosity. Thanks, for the great review!

Despite the terrible character name and dumb backstory, you definitely do a great job of making this book sound interesting. I don’t usuallt read books about murders, but I have to admit this one sounds like one I might enjoy. Thanks for writing a review.
