It seems Declan has a huge battle ahead, indeed. I have to read this book. I'm glad that it is action-packed. Thanks for the review.

Lovely military historical fiction. The idea of fighting the inner demon makes it more appealing to me. Would love to have this one.

Official Review: The Juicy Fruit Man by LaMar Going gives me a concept of the story of the book! The theme of the story of the protagonist's quest for a life of simplicity where he can enjoy his freedom as much as possible is well depicted in the review! The full rating given to the review inculcates an interest for the story within the readers! The readers will find the characters of the story fascinating to read! I like the point in the review that both the protagonist and his cousin surprise the readers with their familiar, amusing reactions to life events!

I like books which can keep me on my toes with suspense. This seems like that kind of book. I will definitely read it. The review is really good and detailed.

What a touching story of a veteran struggling with his demons and trying to sell marijuana. Would like to know how the story ends.

:techie-studyingbrown: As a human being what do we need for survival? Food, water, clothes, shelter? And what about wants? What is the price of choices the old man has to pay for it?.....
Perfect for one to judge those actions, but never know what other person's situation was.
This book concentrates on not only on thriller and war but also with emotions.

It's no longer news that veterans have a big challenge reintegrating into the society. There are plenty of demons to deal with because of the crazy decisions that had to make for "the greater good." This is a story everyone, especially veterans, will relate to easily.

I'm especially appreciative of the thriller genre but unfortunately there was nothing in the review that was indicative of the thrill factor for me. I might still go for it in the near future. Thank you so much for the review.

This book brings to the fore two things that are worthy of note. First, it talks about the scars — physical and emotional — that veterans have to carry for the rest of their lives. Secondly, it teaches a great lesson that everything has a price.

I like that there's action, suspense, and realism as the reader follows the story of a war veteran fighting his own demons. Not only does the book highlight Declan's mental state but also shows the effect on the lives of those who interact with him. Thank you for the interesting review.

Thanks for the review. Declan Noakes sounds like an interesting character, and it's good to know that there may be some disturbing images from the battlefield. I'll check this out soon.

This is really an interesting book. The veteran soldiers most of the times have a hard time settling back to the ordinary life, because of their inner battles. Even though this is a fictional story the review made it look so real. Thanks for a great review.

Between reading your review and the first few pages of the book my mind is made up - Ihave to read this! I've thoroughly enjoyed what I have read so far and your review serves as an excellent teaser. Well done, and thank you!
It's a shame that returning soldierswere left to get on with it themselves with little or no support. Both Declan and Rachel seem to have retained their sense of humor though, and that should help.
I'm so looking forward to reading this. Thanks for the free copy.

I already want to read it. I feel like being part of the story, after reading the review. It's crazy to think that a short foretaste could make me want to read it. I will read this as soon as I can.
