I find it impressive that the novel won the 2021 American Fiction Awards. The book on hand is the second installment of a series, but it stands alone so it can be read on its own. Congratulations to the author for BOTD!

I enjoy books that have well-developed characters, but it's a shame that there were some lapses in the plot of the book. Thanks for the great review!

This book sounds interesting. Thank you for the details and helpful review. It is admirable to hear all the characters have their own detailed and well-develoed life stories. That is rare in books. It is surprising that the reviewer believes that the traditional Indian population might not accept the book. I enjoyed the sample pages. The author has a conversational, descriptive way of writing.

This is an enthralling review as it instigates the curiosity of the readers by drawing attention to some questions that are crucial to the plot of the story. The positive aspects of the narrative that are mentioned in the review like the use of symbols, well defined characters and depiction of India make me eager to read it at the earliest.

I've learned abut India as a country through documentaries, books and their cinema so, maybe I wouldn't like stereotypes in the book, even the title is a little bit off but, I am willing to give a chance if the characters are good.

Thanks for the review.
