Well done! I love the courtroom parlance. It was quite fitting for a review of a detective novel. I also enjoyed the fact that you were able to expand your vocabulary. I trust that the book will be as exciting as your review.

I got a good picture of what to expect on this book from your review. Thank you very much! I wonder what happened when Manory and William went to the mansion. Where they able to solve the rape and murder case from 20 years ago as well? I guess I'll have to read the book to know.

'Official Review: Goodnight Irene by James Scott Byrnside' is an evident and complete one! I love the way, the reviewer shares with us, the spellings, she has learnt from the book! Also, the editing mistakes have been pointed out well, in the review!

You got me at "Agatha Christie at her most devious." As a fan of the great Dame, I am looking forward to reading this book after reading your review and the crafty way you laid out the highlights. I was hoping that you'd give a glimpse of a spoiler on which Christie book did this story remind you of but I guess it wouldn't be welcomed by everyone :). And so, I am off to download and read this book for my own. Thanks for the insights and more power!

This sounds exactly like my kind of book. I hope I am able to solve the mystery from the clues. I also love how well researched it is.

Very interesting and comprehensive review. But I am not interested in crime thriller. I am glad you enjoyed it.

I think I enjoyed your review even more than what I've read of the book so far! I loved how you set it up as a mystery case itself. Very well-written, but also informative. I was a little confused by the book's beginning. Your review cleared it up for me...mostly. Or at least made it clear that it wasn't supposed to be clear. :) I think based on your recommendation I will read the book after all.

Bravo on spotting the research error!

Something you didn't mention that I am greatly enjoying about the book is how visual & visceral it is--the author really puts you in the scene with little details like snowflakes melting into a character's scalp while they stand on the sidewalk.

sounds a great book for lovers of Agatha Christie's type novels. Based on the OBC review, I would enjoy reading this one.
