I have not read The House Of Eire , but you and the others that have read the book. Make it sound like it is a very interesting book.

I found this was the BOTM for March and the bright green obviously caught my attention. Of course, I had to check out the official review. I was shocked to learn this was the third of a series. I had no idea. The premise of the book sounds like it can be stand alone. However, now I have to go check out the other books. Thanks a lot.

I really enjoyed this book as well, and I fully agree that it is a stand-alone story. I didn't even realize that it was part of a series, but am now excited to go back and read the two that came before it. I'm glad you seem to have enjoyed the journey as much as I did!

I'm glad to hear that the book portray a positive aspect about children. I would love to know the history of Ireland, which is why I'm adding the book to my want to read shelf. Thanks for the review.

Thank you for the review. The story with Bridget seems to be likely to bring in a bit of crime drama. I wonder what secrets are unearthed.

Darn, it looked really good until I read that it was a third in a series. That really is my pet peeve. I feel like this novel should not have made book of the month because it's a 3rd in a series, but that's just my opinion. Ergo although I liked the review I'm not going to read it until I read the previous novels.

Excellent review. I recently finished reading House of Eire. Little Claire was my favorite character. She is so intelligent and perceptive for a 7 year old and she added so much to the story! This book was not only a great story, it was a wonderful history lesson about Ireland. Great book!

Based on the review, I had a hard time getting on the main plot. What was this book really about? What was the highlight that would make me read this?

This is seems like a good read, with a well established plot and characters. I liked how even though it was part of a series it could still stand on its own. It seems interesting and enjoyable.

A honeymoon is such a terrible time to learn about your partner's family secrets. I wonder what awaits the couple in Ireland. I prefer not to start a series in the middle, so I'm glad this novel can be read as a standalone. Thanks for the review!

I honestly love how the reviewer manages to make me fall in love with the book without even reading it. The book sounds amazing and I would love to read it.
