I'm reading this novel currently and completely in awe of John Gowan. I think he's a very intriguing character. Anyone looking for a good psychological thriller with an interesting main character will love this book.
Thanks for this amazing review. :tiphat:

The book is a psychological novel featuring a protagonist whose battle with his inner demons becomes more fascinating than any action-driven narration. It is an intriguing novel.
The review is superb.

The psychological aspect of the novel is very authentically and intelligently designed. The part where the injured John wakes up in the hospital is my favorite.

This is a psychological thriller about a thin line between truth and deception. It is about meaning and limitations of personal and collective freedom. You have written the book review very well on this interesting mind bending book. Congratulations on the BOTD and BOTM!

I'm a fan of psychological thrillers, so this very well might be a book that I'd be interested in reading. I also know some other people who like these types of books as well, so I think I'll suggest that they look it up too.

The storyline of The Freedom Building by Martin Kendall is action-packed. Although I'm seriously losing interest in books about terrorism and the like. I think I will pass on this one.

My favorite part of the book so far is Kendall's world building, setting his home between two fictional cities and having reasons to travel between the two cities often. His office in Toxon and his massive project in Blanworth, passing his home somewhere in between. I really enjoy how simple that world is that all the events would happen there.

Upon reading the sample I found the pace to be quite slow, a little underwhelming as far as introductions go. What I do love though is how the protagonist learns to reckon with time. You're right, it is a psychological novel. The author has written it in such a way that I panicked too when the protagonist woke up to realise he's living in the future. Now all I'm interested to know is this, how will he deal with the fact that he's missed not only the events that occurred but the excitement that came with them, will he not miss the day Zenith accepted his designs? What if his assistant was keen on him? Can't wait to unpack more of this

This sounds like a unique psychological story centered around a well-developed character. At first it didn't seem like the kind of book I'd like, but I'm actually quite interested now!

This is an interesting idea, something I read about some time ago. Memory loss, stress, and confusion is the ideal concept for this type of novel. I like your review, thank you.
