The way you describe this book makes me think of a book I read by Ayn Rand, in the way that it is altogether complex and yet written in a relatively small amount of pages. After reading the free sample, I have to agree with your analysis of the book -- or at least what I could tell after only reading the sample. This review makes me want to read the novel myself!

Well. I sampled a few pages and really doesn't appeal to my likes. The theme seems interesting though. At least I tried. I pass on this one.

Going Gone by Abraham Lopez is really captivating and I can't wait to read, a dystopian novel about a collapsed society.
It's fantastic.

Thank you for your review. Having read the sample, I was drawn into this tale but was a bit confused about the changing voices; you have explained this well. I very much enjoyed what I read and hope to explore further.

It is always interesting to watch political dramas unfold. The story seems quite intriguing and story line is easy to follow and fast paced.

This style of writing is unique to me. I am curious to see how all the individual stories weave together to keep the book cohesive. I enjoyed reading the sample provided by the author. This is not my typical genre but I do look forward to giving this novel a try. Thanks for the review! It was very well written and highly informative.
Any book that helps a child to form a habit of reading, to make reading one of his deep and continuing needs, is good for him.

Hope it's not hard to follow--I've just agreed to review it, and I'm finally getting good scores.
I share the ambivalent feelings about dystopia, too.

I really enjoy this kind of storytelling - short stories that link back to a central theme. There are a lot of dystopian books around at the moment but this one sounds a little different - I will definitely be reading it!

The sample of the book was very interesting. I am going to have to purchase the whole book. I want to know what happened after the assassin was killed. The man that committed suicide after calling his son and sending him and his family to a cabin to be safe from the fall out of the assassination. And I am really curious of the outcome of the young man helping a stranger deliver a package to some friends. My thoughts is that there is a bomb in the suitcase. Can't wait to see how everything turned out.

Minor errors can easily be fixed. This is to the credit of the author. I hope they'll be fixed so the book can be rated four stars. Thanks for the review.

[amazon=]Going gone by Abraham Lopez is a novel made up of short stories and events that has unanswerable questions.
It portrays different protagonists, various points of views and an assassination.. I would definitely recommend this book.[/amazon]

An interesting concept, made more interesting by the narrative style. Shame about the errors, if removed I’m sure this will be a better read. There are some that say dystopia has had its day, but with interesting ideas, such as this, I still think there’s mileage.

I love reading books but this is my first time reading this kind of topic. I hope that I can read this carefully to understand the meaning and also the lessons inside of this story.
