Reading about that Karl man in the story gave me the creeps and disgust for real. I can't just ignore that thing from the book. But as it's a mystery novel filled with horrors and suspense and twists, it's a great blow for me as I love reading these type of genres. The most likely thing about the book is that its language is simple as it is problematic for me to go through complicated ones while reading these genres. I also likes to keep a suspense a suspense until the very end while reading mystery but if the review says I could still get an insight and manage the feeling of suspense then there's no problem. The description of Decker lake, town and nearby places and directions in the book kept me confused , as I'm not good in reading directions and detailed description of places in a book with such descriptive manner. This was the only problem I faced. So it might be a nice addition to my collection. I'll go for it and congrats to the author ✌

I got Jason Voorhees vibes when I read all about this book, including this review. While I am not a fan of thrillers, I think those that love these kind of books will enjoy it. Congrats to the author on BOTD! :)

This seems like an exciting and captivating book. I am definitely going to put this on my bookshelves. I'm curious to read about and discover what's actually happening in the town. What the mystery is. Great review!

Wow, this sounds like a horror, I mean where could have Evelyn Jones disappeared to? This would be interesting to follow. I wish to know how the community went about this evil, that tired them up in fear.

Interesting. Everyone feels the presence, yet everyone is hushed about it. That's some good amount of suspense to keep the hairs standing behind the neck.

Though I like mystery and suspect book, but this is definitely out of my genre of books, will pass on this. Congrats on BOTD award.

The story sounds captivating. I am still asking myself what may have come to haunt this peaceful community. Thanks for the informative review.

This sounds like a really interesting and thrilling book. I already am getting chills thinking about the mystery and darkness that surrounds the town. I'm really curious about this premise. I hope the author does a more thorough round of editing. I'm glad you enjoyed it otherwise. Great and thorough review!

I also wonder why the people are disappearing. The plot is a bit interesting, too. I like the characters' roles. One thing, I appreciate is the plot isn't predictable.

Intriguing..especially on readers being allowed in as insiders. I would love to have a look at it, but I hear it is length. Thank you for a great review.

It's on rare occasions I've seen authors spill something that looks like the beans early and still manage to keep the suspense. I guess this is one of such rare cases.

The story book is good. The author explain the sign of becaming the end of the decker lake residends. The author shows that at night their is a sign of things which is not good and makes people to fear what is going to happen in their resident.

I agree with the reviewer that the author did an intelligent work. Letting the reader know something what the characters don't know could spoil the suspense. Therefore, it takes intelligence to do that and still keep the reader engaged.
