'Because the FBI agents are extremely concerned that this is just the beginning of Iran’s plans, Lara and Uri are briefed, given new identities, and sent into danger into separate areas of Iran to gather intelligence.'
These two are never scared of being sent into danger. Kudos to their character!

I have read the free sample on Amazon and was captivated by the detailed description of scenarios and characters. This is a must-read for enthusiasts of genres in crime and investigations. The sample has left me thrilled and curious of the unfolding story. Glad Waterworks made it to the book of the day!

There's nothing terrorists won't capitalize on to carry out terrorism. For a country like the USA, poising a water filtration plant can kill millions of people in a day. I can't wait to see how lives will be saved from this water attack.

The review provided valuable insights. The plot is intriguing, featuring a terrorist attack involving the poisoning of water with a toxic radioactive substance. I’m eager to dive into the book to see if Lara and Uri can unravel the mystery.

Someone poisoned Los Angeles waterworks with polonium. The workers find an Iranian sock in the water, which makes them believe it is an Iranian terrorist. Agents Lara and Uri are sent to Iran to collect information and catch the culprit. This fast-paced novel ensures readers stick till the end.

I really enjoyed the Waterworks sample I read. When I realized it was another Lara and Uri book, I was a happy reader. This is a great series, and I'm going to read through all of them. But as the reviewer says, this is a standalone story, so I'm going to read this book first.

I really liked how you pointed out the author’s background in chemical engineering and Middle Eastern affairs—it makes the story feel a lot more credible and intense! That detail really adds to the review.

This book stands out for its detailed and realistic portrayal of counterintelligence operations, weaving technical and political knowledge seamlessly into a gripping thriller. Winnick’s expertise as a professor emeritus in chemical engineering adds a layer of credibility to the story, particularly in the way he handles complex details around technology and international espionage. Nice review.

I'd love to read this book to find out how Lara obtained the sensitive information and the reason behind the attack.

This review does an excellent job of capturing the tension and complexity in *Waterworks* by Jack Winnick. The reviewer’s detailed summary of the story, especially the plot involving polonium contamination and the investigation into Iran, highlights the stakes and intrigue central to the book. It’s fascinating to see how Lara and Uri, experienced agents from the FBI and Mossad, are thrown into a high-stakes, fast-paced scenario that demands quick thinking and meticulous planning. I appreciate the reviewer’s emphasis on the realistic portrayal of espionage operations and the authenticity brought by Winnick’s background in chemical engineering and Middle East studies. It's reassuring to hear that Winnick’s detailed writing style clarifies the plot without becoming overly technical, making it accessible to readers who might not be familiar with intelligence operations. The mention of minimal profanity and violence makes it helpful for readers who may have sensitivities around those elements. This sounds like a gripping read for fans of spy thrillers!

I have been seeing a lot of Jack Winnick’s books recently, and I can't help but be exhausted as I can't wait to get through all of them as it seems that more keeps coming. Who's behind the Polonium poisoning? Could it be Iran? It's up to the United States of America‘s Intelligence to solve, together with Uri and Lara. I congratulate the author on this wonderful book!

This is a remarkable book by Jack Winnick. Once again, Uri and Lara are back to solve a suspected terrorist attack, with "goldfishes" found dead in the Los Angeles Aqueduct Filtration Plant due to a toxic radioactive element, Polonium, and an Iranian sock discovered at the scene. It’s sure to be exciting, and huge congrats on BOTD! Wonderful review too by the way :techie-studyinggray: !
