Excellent review. Neither the book title nor the cover stood out to me. But this review is so detailed, it has me interested. I would love to go on this journey with Matthias.

The main character shares many traits with his father, and he has exploited these traits to improve his finances and exact revenge for perceived and actual wrongs done to him. I'm hoping he'll learn to be as kind as he is smart. With its melancholy tone of retaliation, it is intriguing. One is quickly sucked in and held there by the desire to see the main character's redemption. Even though the plot is uncommon, I liked it. I appreciate the review and Congrats on BOTD.

It won't really be an easy one for Mathias especially losing his memory, losing his face and fingers. I hope he wins the odds of life that faced him. Great review. I enjoyed reading it.

Though I don't know how Matthias lost his face and ten fingers, I can imagine the trauma he would be going through after the incident that caused it; moreover, I think it would be hard getting his life back together as his enemies are still looking out for him. I'd love to give this book a read.

Matthias Callaghan wakes up in a hospital in pain and all stitched up. He does not remember anything until his wife (Juliana Cross) comes to visit him. His memory then comes back to him slowly until he remembers how he came to lose his face and ten fingers. The first novel details his plan to make his assailants suffer and regain his fingers and get a new face. The second novel then raises the question, 'What happens in the happily ever after?' His enemies (including Mr. Flint and Charles Rathbone) realize the extent of the damage caused by Matthias and decide to seek revenge.
- This could only happen to someone like a secret agent or the FBI. It doesn't happen to ordinary people. Therefore Matthias' reactions are just as fitting. It is quite horrifying but fascinating and intriguing to find out how it all plays out. I will read this next. A fantastic review. Thank you!

I commend the author's writing skill which helped in joining two volumes together without any issues from the readers, it takes only professionals to do so. I'd like to add this book to my TBR to know how Mathias was able to take revenge with his face and fingers off. Well-written review.

The author is truly a great story writer. He makes us connect with the main character from the beginning as we see him so broken and helpless with no fingers, no face and no memory. Then we see him slowly recovering and getting his memory back. It is a book you will want to continue reading to the end.

Thanks for this review. When you hear that he lost 10 fingers and his face, you immediately want to know how. Then you think about it for a second and you think, maybe I don't really want to know. Although I have not read anything by this author, from all of the reviews he seems to be a great one, so I will certainly read both of these volumes. Loved the review!

The second there was a mention of the main character's face missing, I became interested in this book. It sounds like quite an adventurous book.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting thriller novel about a man who wakes up in the hospital with no memories of how he got there. Gradually, he regains his memories of how he lost his face and fingers and decides that he will get revenge on the people that did this to him. It might be worth a second look. Well done.
