This spy thriller is worth reading because of the simple yet effective way of storytelling by Author Jack .
Spy's too have their personal tales to tell. this is reflected in many of the conversation between the secret agents. After all they are humans too. An emotional side nicely depicted by author. Obvious mention of nuclear confrontation makes the plot little predictable but science behind it is explained to the core. Dilemma of Walid as he has to choose between the two paths and emotional turmoil he goes through during the process is quite realistic.

I am not a great fan of stories like this that contains graphic killings / mass killings of innocent people by thugs and gang members seeking power but I actually find this one interesting. I am curious of the outcome of this partnership between two people who seem to be so different in culture and personalities . Lara the 'nerd' of all nerds and Uri a ruthless killer . Even though they are of different backgrounds and personalities they both want the same thing - to keep people safe .

Another great story in the Lara and Uri series. Walids' story is one of a deeply manipulated boy, influenced by culture and religion. Congrats on a great review.

I loved how you described what distinguishes the book from typical spy novels. I absolutely love the author's theme to decolonize Walid from stereotypes and instead give him a chance to choose what he wants to believe in.

East Wind by Jack Winnick is an action-packed thriller that begins with an explosive event in Ed Cooper's condo. Much like all his books, you will be hooked from the start. Uri and Hakim's face-off also felt like something out of a movie scene. Lara and Uri's first book in the series will capture many thrill-seeking fans. I enjoyed reading your detailed and well-written review. Congratulations on the BOTD!

The in-depth reviews of this series leave potential readers intrigued. I am not a fan of political/spy thrillers, but this review, like other reviews of this book series, has me interested in this series. Thank you for the review.

Based on the provided information, "East Wind" by Jack Winnick is an espionage thriller that revolves around the efforts of Uri Levin, a member of the Metsada (the Special Operations arm of the Israeli Mossad), and Lara Edmond, an FBI agent known as the "Golden Girl." The plot is driven by the imminent threat of a nuclear bombing by Hezbollah operatives on U.S. soil, with the aim of ending U.S. support for the Zionist State of Israel.

Your breakdown is so detailed! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on Uri, Lara, and the whole nuclear threat rollercoaster.
You make this book sound very interesting. The way you highlight the narrative perspective switch-ups and the characters' background stories got me curious.
Totally appreciate the heads-up on the lack of offensive language and the limited graphic scenes. If it's got you keen on a sequel, it must be doing something right!
Thanks again for the insights. Happy reading!

Me always being a lover for spy themes and some action movies, this book got me all excited following agent Uri and Lara two agents from different organisations teaming up intrigues me the hive more into the story. The book had a lot going on with many names, terrorist groups, the FBI, CIA. Uri's mission in Lebanon showed how brutal this had gone hunting down of terrorist and tearing them up like one is in a biology dissecting session made the scene seem nasty though he lost his team members there. But seeing that he was back in field with a computer wizard "the Golden girl" both good in Arabic language, leads to questions will these two be able to fight the Hezbollah threats of nuclear bombings tear down terrorists’ plans to put an end to U.S. support for the Zionist State.
Also an insight on Walid a young boy (16 years of age) and his fascination on Sheikh Nasrallah and his teachings, will he join the man or will he change his mind after finding Uri and Lara and join them as a team to fight against the terrorism acts and on going plans.
In all I loved the drafting of the book, the way it explains all characters and a brief on their background about their mission made it easy to follow despite the hard names of places and even some characters that were listed I managed to enjoy. I'd rate this book 4 out of 5 because of how the author managed to diverse the story from the normal expected plots of government agents raiding a terrorist group with an ambush and much easy. Thanks

I think the author has done a great job in putting this together, as confirmed by switching the narrative perspective from one character to another and great background to the characters. Since I'm a fan of thrillers of any kind, I'm looking forward to reading this. Thanks for sharing!

From my point of view, there are two main things that save this book from the otherwise predictable intrigue of a typical spy novel. Firstly, the author does a good job by switching the narrative perspective from one character to another, no matter if they belong to the protagonists of the novel or antagonists of the novel . Secondly, the characters have great background stories that make them quite realistic and help the readers understand the reasons behind their actions. What I liked most were precisely those moments when there was such a respite in the plot development. For example, Uri and Lara often exchange both personal and secret intelligence stories that do not only bring them closer, but also give the readers the chance to get to know them better, which gives the readers a clear view on what the have been through in their personal lives

Doing justice to its genre, East Wind by Jack Winnick would certainly be a good read for those who enjoy thrillers based on terrorist threats, the joint action of government forces, high-level treason, and a budding romance amidst all the impending tragedy. Similarly, the characters do not use offensive language and there is only one erotic scene that is not extremely detailed. The editing errors are reduced to a handful of mostly punctuation mistakes. All things considered; I am giving this novel 4 out of 4 stars.
