I enjoy stories with well thought out characters with nicely developed story lines. This sounds to be one that I wouldn't be able to put down once I pick it up.
Mad Hatter: "Have I gone mad?"
Alice: "I'm afraid so. You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are.”

An old but wealthy retired actress tries to capture her lost youth by dating younger men. Her current man is taking advantage of her generosity and her son is determined to out him. Sounds interesting.

Great review. This crime thriller sounds fascinating. I don’t understand mature women or men for that matter who fall in love with much younger man or woman. It’s obvious that there is an ulterior motive and they are just being gullible. I’m glad Sophie has a realisation but at the expense of her son. Thanks for your review!

A woman who has done and had so much to forever be appreciative for plunges into a life uncertain. An interesting outcomes as she eventually opens herself up to reality

Good review and glad Sophie realizes her worth at the end because we all crave for something which can only be found within us. Sex, lusts of the flesh are temporal. Peace of mind is the greatest wealth. Thank you BOTD

The title of the book makes it sound like a murder mystery but your review says nothing about that so I'm assuming it's not about murder. Nonetheless, I don't feel like this is a book I would want to read. Thanks for your review.

From the review it really seems an intriguing thriller. It makes me want to look further into this series of novels.

I will take your word for it and read the book. I was upset at Albert Camus' ghost's appearance, mainly because not in the wildest dreams of mine could Albert Camus, ghost or living person, speak as he was made to in the novel.
It is only the fact that his role in this novel is minimal as you say that makes me change my mind in favor of reading the novel.
I also like the way you describe the "enough foul language to make a Nun blush" and the positive turn in Sophie's way of thinking. I hope it happens in real life too.
A great review, thank you! :tiphat:

An older woman hanging on to her youth by dating much younger men. Not the first time I've heard a storyline like this, but this one sounds like it's done very well. Thanks for the review

It sounds like an amazing crime-thriller even though crime novels are not my thing. I love the illustrative cover page. I will pass this amazing read but thanks for an amazing review. Congratulations BOTD.

I like thrillers and the plot sounds original and intriguing with lots of events and pretty fast paced. Though I'm not sure the topic of sex clubs and brothels would interest me that much. Still I'm sure the book will find its reader. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!
