This #BOTD has suspense and intrigue with one person dead and another missing. I wonder of the drugs were planted on the body? Great review with interesting quotes.

How cool to have a mystery novel set in Hawaii! This thriller seems like a must read for me. It has both mystery and a little romance thrown in as well. Can't wait to read this one!

Great review, it made me really interested to start this book. Crime stories aren't usually my cup of tea, but this story sounds really intriguing.

I haven't read a detective novel like this one in a while. Your insightful review portrays it as a "combination of intrigue and suspense". The sample pages were interesting. It would be nice to see how Matt and Kathy work this one.

I like well written murder mysteries as well, such as this one involving Matt and Kathy. It's a bonus that the author employs a descriptive style in his writing. Thanks for the enjoyable review.

I love detective stories. As you say, there's a similar satisfying feeling to solving a puzzle and I love how analyzing how the minds of the detectives work.
I'm glad you enjoyed the book so much!

Nice review. I love a good thriller and this is right up my alley! The first chapter pulled me right in and I can’t wait to see what happened to Justin and where and why his wife disappeared.

Having lived on Oahu for three years and visiting Diamond Head many times, this book is very dear to me. My memories of Diamond Head aren't quite as romantic as described at the start of the book, being that I worked as private security in a cemetery at night, which was creepy enough by itself.

This book appears to weave the magic of a good mystery with all of the beauty and splendor of Hawaii, so I am very much looking forward to reading the remaining chapters.

I’m always interested in a book with intrigue and suspense. You know it’s going to be an interesting read when someone dies at the beginning of the book.
