This novel seems to tell a tragic story that gets developed through well-constructed characters that are also used to address important issues. Thank you for your great review!

This book was perfectly paced as well, and at no point does the reader feel as though the narrative moves too quickly or slowly. Of course, it is all held together by the brilliant penmanship of the author. To me, his style was reminiscent of school curriculum reading, with the exception that I actually enjoyed this book.
You truly made me laugh at that last comment.
Great characters should be, as you say, built by the actions in the plot and, most of all, memorable. The words you used to describe your favorite characters captured me since character development is the most important asset of a novel in my book.
You're quite the writer yourself. This is a brilliant review!

This book is tragic which shows that no crime goes unpunished. I'd love to know about Salty's past and how it dealt with him. Congrats on BOTD.

The book promotes awareness about child abandonment and foster care. It seems to explore how they affect personal and social relationships. Congratulations on Book of the Day!

Allan Davis skillfully and movingly depicted the nuanced bond between a parent and daughter. Shame and sorrow also put strain on this bond. The novel's characters are incredibly compelling and real.

There is a lot of complications to be unravelled in this novel about Salty and Sylvia. It would be interesting to know how Sylvia was able to track his father after so many years.

This sounds like something I would read, I started with the first few pages. It does seem to have some tough themes, having to explain to his daughter what happend to her mother and I would like to see the journey they take.

After reading the description of the book on Amazon, I decided the story was too tragic for me to enjoy. But your review makes me want to know more about the characters and their unfortunate and uncomfortable circumstances. Amazing review, thanks!

This is a fiction about mistakes in the family and how they affect family relationships. What was Salty thinking of! How could he do that?! How did they , Salty and Sylvia, meet again? What sort of closure Sylvia wants? Your review raises interesting questions. Allan Davis has creatively put the story together. Congratulations on the BOTD!

This must be an in interesting book to read by Allan Davis, especially if you have empathy about that seven year old girl who is left by her mother at such a tender age.Its quite a complex narration of the flow of life in such a relationship daughter and father.
