This novel seems like an excellent platform to explore the implications of rapid technological advancements and to reflect on the consequences of not being able to maintain the balance between man and machine.

This book seems like a classic case of "don't judge a book by its cover." What looks like a biography of an old man is actually a futuristic, thought provoking novel! "Concerns of today are addressed through new laws, inventions, and societal rules, which I found fascinating, especially because the majority of them appeared to be very realistic possibilities" I loved your review and possibly will read this book now based on your review.

Your review was well-written and engaging. I liked the description of the future setting in the first ten pages. I loved the suspense-filled scene when Rickey found his friend, Gom, dead. It made me very curious to read and know more. Congratulations on being selected BOTD!

This book set in the near future is thought-provoking and at the same time scary. Imagine a dystopian future that is not so far out is what makes it scary. Thank you for your review!

This book that is set in the near future is thought-provoking and scary at the same time. A dystopian future that is not so far off is what makes it scary to me. Rickey sounds like a relatable character. Thank you for your review!

speaking of this opinion by danielle brigs seems to be a fair opinion or criticism which explains the reality of a person in a difficult situation who has to find a job which gives him another opening. which even explains the evolution of our world but 4 out of 4 seems to be too much. I will rate 3 out of 4.

From this review I'm impressed by the author's prediction of the future life with technology largely replacing human beings in the workplace.
This sounds like a nice book that makes one look within themselves to examine their beliefs and thoughts about the issues the author addresses.
I look forward to reading this book. Thanks for the review. Congratulations to the BOTD!

Thanks for such a nice and simple review, it made me understand the story better. This book is a fictional mystery that is set in a possible dystopian future dominated by advanced technology. The elements of politics and societal issues in this book seem thought-provoking to me.

The BOTD is a realistic dystopian novel that forces Rickey to face several political facets in daily life while working for Miter. The setting in 2050 shows the United States divided and work done by technology. I wonder how Rickey changes the future. Interesting review.

I love these kinds of futuristic novels. The one point mentioned here, "speaking ill of technology or computers is considered hate speech", really gives it a feel that intrigues me.

Fictional futuristic mysteries I haven't read till this one, which seems to be well-written and thought-provoking. The impact of technology on human life , good and bad, is a common theme that people of the future will have to deal with.
