This thrilling mystery reflects modern-day incidents. It is sad and scary to witness how the evil overpowers, and worse, they don't spare even the young. Interesting characters and plot. Congrats to the author on BOTD! Thanks for the comprehensive review.

Injustice keeps happening, and the innocents keep getting blamed for crimes they never committed. This book contains one such story, where a teacher, Jennifer, is arrested, or is it? What is the truth? Congratulations on the BOTD, and best wishes for future projects.

Congrats on BOTD! This is an engrossing narrative of danger and redemption that follows Assistant Superintendent Ken Parks as he deals with threats from the internet and a fatal inquiry. Parks had to decide between putting his family in danger and getting over his previous transgression.

Wow a crime mystery with a social message! Skimming through few pages of the book, I liked how the plot moves and being a lover of thriller genre, would definitely love to read them fully. Goes on my "Must read" list! Based on the review I can also guess why the title is named so. Well done!

I enjoyed your review; it highlighted every aspect I look for in a book. I love crime mysteries with suspense and edge-of-the-seat, plot-turning storylines. I am interested in why you deducted a star; you didn't explain. Nonetheless, this sounds like a book that needs to go on my to-read list. Thank you for sharing.

Cruel Lessons features four boys who die at the start of the book. The cause of death is the gripping part. The book seamlessly blends crime, and mystery among other topics like abuse and death. Congratulations on BOTD.

Thank you for your review. I'm a mom with three kids and I agree with you that drugs in school must be stopped at any cause. The book sounds like a good crime mystery book and it makes me wonder how the story will end.

"Cruel Lessons" follows the tragic death of four boys in a car accident during a school trip, revealing they used a drug-infused tattoo. The book addresses the serious issue of drug use in schools and its impact on communities. This is a thought-provoking story. I would love to read it. Thank you for the amazing review!

I love a good crime mystery but, most importantly, the topic of drug use and addiction among minors is a meaningful one and one that our society needs to address from all angles, not only the supplier one.

"Cruel Lessons" by Randy Overbeck focuses on the very burning topic of drug addiction in teenagers and then it's consequences. It really capitative and thought provoking topic. I would surely add it to my TBR.

A wonderful review with great insight.
Thank you.
I read the first few pages of "Cruel Lessons," and I must say the author has a great way of expressing suspense.
I hardly believe that Jennifer is the one who was responsible for the death of the four young boys, but anything sounds possible with this captivating read. I appreciate that this book covers drug abuse and how it impacts society in various segments.

An interesting crime mystery "Cruel Lessons" by Randy Overbeck, which follows an accident of four young boys in a car on a school camping trip due to tattoo drug.
