Each character evokes the sense of knowing and loving someone. Each revelation was amusing, surprising, and fun to read. Finally, I think Anthony's depth is particularly admirable. This story is so beautifully woven by Storin's depiction of Anthony's relationship with his mother that I found myself wishing I had the chance to deal with Frank for them at some point, which is a strong indication of a good book. The review was excellent, and congrats to the author on Book of the Day!

Katie's story is really tough with the hardship she had to endure throughout the years. I don't know if I feel like reading such a concentration of drama but topics such as an abusive relationship and cancer are important. Thank you for your great review!

Using Katie's tale as a case study, this book offers readers a window into the pain, loneliness, and responsibility children face when their parents pass away suddenly. One can tell everything she went through through this review, including an abusive relationship. Congratulations on winning the BOTD; nice book.

I love the book title. I’d love to read more of Katie‘s story and see how she got through all the rough times. Nice review!

"A Frame For Flowers" by Sean Storin is a fiction novel set in Boston. The main character is Katie Kelley, who lost her parents when she was only 18 years old. Soon, her life path will cross paths with the self-confident Frank Bruno, in whose company she initially felt safe.

This review was very comprehensive and informative. Katie has a strong and resilient character. The author did a good job of describing abusive relationships in a subtle way.

This is a fiction novel where a woman named Katie is in an abusive relationship and to top it all off she is diagnosed with cancer at the age of 37. Great review.

The book seems interesting and emotional showing the courage of a person who has received the life shattering news. But such topics as abusive relationships and dealing with cancer are not my cup of tea so I'll pass this time even though the reviewer mentioned that the level of emotions "produced" by the book was not overwhelming. I'm sure the book will find its reader. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

I was quite taken with this review. The narrative was masterfully written. I had the impression that the plot and the lives of the characters were a part of my own.

Many people suffer from abusive relationships, and Katie is no exception. How hard it must've been for Katie to receive a cancer diagnosis at the young age of 37.

Great review! This looks like a great book - I appreciate what you said in the review “sad not maudlin.” Cancer, relationships gone wrong, and great neighbors, all sounds relatable. Congrats to the author on BOTD!
