The school where my daughter works is closed TODAY because of investigation of threat. 2 school districts, a county college and a hospital either closed or on lockdown because of this. I will be reading this book with enthusiasm, and I suspect on the edge of my seat.

Great review and congrats on BOTD. I have go against the grain here and say that I did not think the book was well written. Fleischer puts in too much details and multiple other controversial topics that bog down the central plot of gun control.

Really interesting premise. Especially with the weight of guns and gun regulations in the news recently, this book could really give insight into the different point of views surrounding them, as well as the way people think in general. The writing itself sounds- or reads- a little forced but isn't too distracting. Could definitely be a promising read.

I’ve definitely read books about devices or medical science that lets people know the day they will die, but it seems like this one has the brilliant factor of adding something new to the conversation, which I think is incredibly important for a plot such as this that I’ve seen several times. Definitely worth looking into. Thanks for the review!

Thank you for this well-written review! The fact that this book is not far from reality has me a little nervous about what I will discover upon reading it. The author obviously is skillful if he is able to surprise the reader throughout the book. The premise of a device that predicts the final days of individuals' lives reminds of the TV show Person of Interest. This is sure to be an entertaining and thought-provoking read. I look forward to diving in!

Wow! Am curious about that watch and the debate on gun ownership that's crazily awesome, nice review, thanks for it.

Final Notice provides a very realistic reflection of American society. Can't wait to complete reading this book.

I am almost a quarter of the way through reading this book. It is pretty smooth reading, and covers some interesting and controversial topics. While I am a strong advocate of the second amendment, I can read with an open mind. Having some conservative views, as well as some liberal views, I enjoy hearing - or in this case, reading - the thoughts of others. Congratulations to the author for being both BOTD, and BOTM!

This book seems very interesting given that you rated it 4 out of 4 stars. Being a science fiction, this summits my inquisition even further. Commendable review!

Poignant and incisive, Final Notice is truly a book of our times for our times. Van Fleisher's writing style is crisp and weightless, letting the story shine brightly. Congratulations on Book of the Day!

The concept of predicting death by science and not magic is completely fascinating. The fact that you are alerted of the day also brings some aspect of the book. I,for example, want to know what these people do after their final notice. Great review by the way.
