The book was very interesting. Indeed, Kim Ekemar is quite a good writer. I felt the emotions of Matthias and I could say that was a sorrowful fela in the book

The author did a great job threading the two books together while crafting a believable story.
It must have been very traumatizing loosing one's face and fingers. I wonder what lead to such a gruesome act.
Thanks for the well-written review and congrats to the author.

It was painful to read that the protagonist lost his face and fingers. I wonder how he will go through life with his situation. Thanks for the review!

Mathias lost his face and ten fingers in something mysterious. I am eager to find out the cause of this situation.

In this book, the author masterfully connects the first story and revives it in the second book. The first episode follows the protagonist, Matthias Callaghan, as he seeks revenge against his attackers, who left him with a disfigured face and the loss of his arms. The second episode delves into the consequences of Matthias' actions and how his enemies seek revenge. The storytelling, writing, plot and character development were all praised as well done, with vivid descriptions and elaborately choreographed events.

"Callaghan, vol. 1 & 2" by Kim Ekemar. This is a well written story book. Talks about Matthias Callaghan who wakes up with pains and stitches in the hospital, only for him to regain memory with the help of his wife Juliana Cross. Easily read and understood. Congrats on your #BOTD.

I do enjoy crime novels and I was caught off guard by the comment “how he came to lose his face and ten fingers.” That sentence promises plenty of action. Thanks for your review!

This was a great review, I am interested in starting this series now. What did he do or what did he know that caused him to lose his face and 10 fingers?

It's bad enough waking up in a hospital, but to be missing his face and ten of his fingers is nearly unimaginable. Your review of Callaghan, vol 1&2 definitely explains the cover now; I was thinking more of a mummy historical fiction at first. These books sound slightly creepy, but also like a very addicting adventure following his turmoil and desire for revenge. Thank you for a great review :)

It's amazing to not just read about the story, but also look at how author's craft their story.

Thrilling from the intro and on into the first chapter! Amnesia is a game-changer in movies and in mysteries. Add some medical advancements and *Callaghan, vol. 1 & 2* by Kim Ekemar promises to take the reader on quite the adventure!
Starting in a private, swank hospital suite in Switzerland the narrator slowly recovering from surgery has little to no memory and also, no fingers. The adventure continues as we flash back to the memories that start to return.
