I think this is the first one I’ve gotten before it’s been book of the day! Super excited from the amazon blurb about it being at the expense of the far right. Not for everyone definitely, but I think I’ll enjoy it. 🙂

I enjoyed the plot of this novel. It is so important right now. People should take it seriously in the same way we should take “The Handmaid’s Tale” seriously. Both are works of fiction that could easily become the reality of our future. I rated the book 3 out 4 when I reviewed it, only because (1) there were a few grammatical errors, and (2) I wish that the author would have created a character that would have appealed more to the gun lovers out there. They need this novel more than anyone.

How fortuitous is it that this book has been named book of the month for March? After the school shooting in Florida, I think that this book will really tie into what is happening. Between the exploration of the pros and cons of gun ownership, and the fact that they have a device that determines when you're going to die, it really makes for an interesting story. Personally, I don't think that I would want a watch that shows my time coming to an end, sounds way too depressing. The idea that you can track how long you have to live doesn't seem too far off after all the world is always changing. Thanks for the review of the book, it makes me glad that I chose to buy it.

This book seems pretty relevant because of the constant shootings in America. I really like the concept of this book. A group of doctors create a device that can predict death by old age or that's health related. I'm definitely gonna add this book to my to-read list! Awesome review!

This book sounds like it is perfect for me. I love books about our society but slightly changed and I have always been fascinated by people knowing they are going to die at a specific time. I just downloaded the book and can not wait to start reading it!!!

Thanks for the warnings in your final paragraph. I don't really count myself on either "side" of the gun ownership debate, but I really don't like the idea of being preached at when I'm reading. I'll probably steer clear of this, plus I do get upset easily at the sensitive topics. Really appreciate the informative review!

I love when sci-fi starts with a super plausible concept like a final notice clock. This seems like the kind of book that would really make you think. I'm excited to pick it up for Book of the Month!

I thoroughly enjoyed the book when I read it but the issue of gun control has stayed with me all through. It's alright for government to pass a bill of enforcement with regards to ownership but how can the under-the-radar manufacturers be stopped. It's like the unending fight against narcotics. The book is really thought provoking. Thanks for this in depth review.

Final Notice has an intriguing plot. I appreciate the well-written review. This book must also deal with mental illness as there would be no other reason to explain someone taking another's life because they themselves are going to die. I'm not much for revenge killing. In my opinion, that's nuts. I may have to read the book to see if or who the author blames for murder. Thanks.

I read this book in one (and a half) sitting - fantastic concept. Like a grown-up's take on the popular teen dystopian trilogies. I wish the watch company would have been evil and in on the conspiracy...maybe even some fake notifications going on? By sponsors? My brain in going in 20 different directions with that now!

This sounds interesting. I am very pro gun ownership though so I may disagree with a bit of this book. But I'm willing to try reading it.

This sounds very thought provoking. Based on the description and sample I read, I thought it would be following one man's quest for vengeance at the end of his life. It sounds like I was wrong and that there's a lot more to this book!
