Of all the thrillers that I have come across The Prize sounds a great one. Eric Prescott and Pamela Weller represents different people we get to meet in our day to day operations. Some do things genuinely out of heart and others do what they do for fame, prize etc. Yearning to read the whole of this book because it sounds enchanting. Great review!

A combination of awesome genres. A thriller with a little bit of mystery. There was really no action, but the end justified the means. 'The prize' is a book I would surely be looking out for.

I know integrity will always win over fame, but the procedure this war will take is what has whet my appetite.

I appreciate your genuine notion, you really poured your heart into delivering an awesome review.

I think I might enjoy the suspense and the disparate personalities of the main characters in the book.

This seems like it'll be a cool book to read. I am glad you liked it. Both contenders have a claim on the price. To find out who the actual winner of the 'price' would be is a reason why I like to read this novel. Thank you for sharing such a detailed review.

If you are looking for a suspensful novel then you have to pick the Prize. It is a book involving two doctors who are trying to find the cure of Alzheimer's disease but with different purposes. Who will emerger with victory?

Eris Prescott and Pamela Weller are two characters that made the world of science more intriguing and enticing in all forms. The Prize showcased a competitive world especially by the two characters aforementioned and there was an unrelenting tonnes of suspense. Its quite educative, wetting one's appetite for such things like Alzheimer's disease. And it always beats my imaginations, the play-out cannot be predicted and it gives no moments of respite, you just wanna keep going on. Its a beautiful piece with a nice theme. I love it !

I really shy off from reading crime and/or science fiction genres but for this particular book i did enjoy. The cover page's mix of dull colors and the back of a lab coat creates an aura of mixed thrill and curiosity, with a strong hankering to delve right in. The Prize allures its readers right from its first pages.

The main goal for every character in this book is to find the Alzheimer's cure. The motivation behind this is different to every individual. The author brings to life every character, making the reader involved in the narration always. This shows that the purpose of the book is met, hence a must read.

Eric Prescott, a 47 year old renown scientist, is working towards the discovery of Alzheimer's disease cure. His ambition is winning the Nobel prize and adding to his many display of awards. He is proud and egocentric, always plotting to dismiss any competition in his area of pursuit. He would rather make putrid one's work than be fare and come in second. He comes up with a mouse model approach in finding Alzheimer's cure.

Pamela Weller, a 36 year old female who is among the best neuroscientist in the world, also developed a cell culture system that illuminates the possibility of finding a cure. Her method is faster compared to Eric's but faces many challenges as she is yet to achieve tenure at Langmere. Having published 3 papers in good journals and working with her postdocs, she is passionate and optimistic in finding a cure.

All eyes are on the prize, thus the title of the book. The definition of prize is upon the reader to figure out as this book brings out roun every step of the way. Will reputation and ambition win over genuinty and passion? Or will both turn futile?

This book is not only a mystery-packed and a narration with amazing suspence, but many intriguing fields like corruption, deception, betrayal, ambition and enmity are featured. Its not action-filled but the outcome of struggle and intellectual competition brings the fun in reading it. The writing styles and language, including the venture into a world of science, made me aspire to be involved.

Its a page turner for sure and i will definitely encourage people to read it. There are no disappointments so far and i give it a 4 out of 4 stars.

Wonderful review. Sadly, if C/M/T/H aren't action-packed, I tend to lose interest quickly - being action packed is what makes them so good in my opinion. But I might give it a try if I get the chance because the plot sounds interesting.

Thank you for your review. I was unsure whether I would want to read the book after reading the online sample. You seem to have enjoyed it so much that I will have to give it a second chance. It's really helpful to know you found it hard to put down and nothing really to complain about. Thanks again!

Wow, this book does sound great!! I love stories that draw the reader in. And to read that this book will have you up in down in emotions is a good sign. I like suspense as well, it doesn't have to be a murder mystery to be good. Because of the review of the book, I will be putting this on my bookshelves as a possible read for sure.
