well, CC (the hardest working reviewer at OBC) is at it again with another great review. This one sounds like it's right up my alley. And for some reason I didn't think the story would be as you described judging from it's cover. That's why we need reviewers. "God bless us, everyone."

I especially love a story with realist and relatable characters. Without that the world could fall on them and nobody would care.

Here goes the broken record part of my reply. I really rely on knowing the level of profanity and graphic violence and sex before reading a book. I'm far from young and I don't know how "sensitive" a reader I am, but with the literally millions of books out there, I know I must chose wisely what I stick in my brain and spend my most valuable commodity (time) on too.

Thank you again for your help. As always, I'm looking forward to your next review and knowing you, you're probably working on it right now!

Sincerely, LL
And they sang a new song saying,
"You are worthy to take the book,
and to open its to seals,
for You were slain and have redeemed us to God,
by your blood, out of every tribe and tongue and people and Nation." Rev. 5:9

Dark secrets seem to hover in the house and their revelation will hurt people in many levels. I cannot wait to find out what these are and how they will affect the different relationships people living there!

When I read this book, I enjoyed the historical context that was provided for the storyline! I hope others enjoy it! Great review!

Thanks for your review. It’s nice to read about a book that portrays children realistically, especially on a long flight!

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting story about a ghost writer her husband are getting ready to go on their vacation, but that vacation might be interrupted by dark family secrets. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

This dose of darkness is just the kind of mystery I like!
Thanks for your review.

Excellent review. You did a great job of informing us without giving away much of the plot.

I love well-written novels with realistic, complex characters. The addition of Claire's age-appropriate actions, feelings, and behaviors, is quite a nice touch. I don't think this book is for me, but I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for a fabulous review!

It seems almost every family has dark secrets. Secrets are so powerful that they can make or destroy. I hope Hillary finds what she's looking for without shattering her family.

The book explains how the Hunger for pleasure can not be suppressed. On the other hand, I believe the writer technically highlights diplomacy. Generally, I like the fact that he is able to balance things. It gives the readers that clarity. Thanks for the review.

Third in the series? Agh! I already selected this as my next book to review! Now I'm going to have to look for the first two.
That being said, it does sound like an interesting book. Thank you for the well-written review.

Ghost 👻 stories are freaking me. I cannot dare to read it because my nerves are quite sensitive. Ireland history is not yet in my reading list. I wanted to try, since historical fiction 📚 is one of my favorite genre.
