“East Wind” by Jack Winnick is a terrorist thriller, book one in the series, that begins in Southern California where a fusion bomb is detonated in the bay and hundreds of innocent people were killed instantly. Lara from the FBI and Uri from the Mossad are called to find the Hezbollah terrorists responsible for this destruction and stop them before they detonate bombs in other U.S. locations. I found this book hooked me from the amazing start and it kept me on the edge of my seat until the end. Lara and Uri are an incredible team that will solve the case and bring the Hezbollah perpetrators to justice. Jack Winnick is an excellent author and his terrorist series is a must read if one enjoys action thrillers. Very good review.

The usual run off of painting "middle eastern countries" as terrorists and the west as innocent and pure in a lot of thriller sci-fi books. 🚮 Read it, almost no difference from the usual lots, especially with the draggy plot, not impressed. Not for me, I rate it 2 over 5, maybe a 3 on a good day, no offense. Great review though

Reading your review and the synopsis of the book, I am especially curious about how the concept of "terrorism" is handled, since it is one of the most ideologically charged words that keeps justifying the US-Israeli oppression and intervention. Thank you for the review!

This is the kind of books that keep you reading. From one event to another the interest never fades. One would be forgiven to think the writing of the book was influenced by what is happening currently in the Middle East. This book is a must read.
