Though I'm generally a non-fiction reader, the way you 'Cecilia_L' have done this review I kind like feel I probably could give it a try and see where the book takes me. It is an indeed well written review like most of your reviews you've done before.

What is also interest is this reality of Love found in the story. Love that transcends all forms of known traditions and protocols of this world.

Thank you once again for the great review.

Having read and reviewed the second book in this series, "Devil in False Colors", I am sooo excited that this is the BOTD today! I absolutely loved "Devil ..." and especially Uri and Lara. Also excited to see that they are now married, and happily so. Can't wait to get into "The Date Farm" to see what's up now.
Congrats to Jack WInnock for another BOTD!

In fact, I can't think of a single thing I disliked about the book
Hard to debate that statement and it's a rare one to make about any book, even the really good ones. I'm not big on political action thrillers that aren't in a movie, but I've succumbed to many of your recommendations before that were beneficial, so if you think this one is worth it that's good enough for me. 8)

Thanks for yet another creative and common sense review, Cec.

"You are worthy to take the book,
and to open its to seals,
for You were slain and have redeemed us to God,
by your blood, out of every tribe and tongue and people and Nation." Rev. 5:9

I haven't read the other books, but I recognize the names Lara and Uri, perhaps from a previous book of the day. I like the idea of a husband and wife team working together with their respective agencies to combat terrorism.
There is no frigate like a book
To take us lands away,
Nor any coursers like a page
Of prancing poetry.
This traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of toll;
How frugal is the chariot
That bears a human soul!

With all the terrorism these days, these books really strike a cord; you know this stuff could really happen. I may give this one a look. Thanks for the review, Cecilia. :techie-studyingbrown:

This book talks about about terrorism which is a threat. It shows that governments need to look into that. Thanks for the review.

Congrats to Jack Winnick for Date Farm and BOTD honors. Thrillers, romance, suspense and international intrigue, what more do you need? And we at OBC know Jack Winnick's book to be a well-written, page-turner. Well done.

The fact that people can stand for a thing, and even die for it, is the feeling that this story brings on board for me. Great review!

I love when thrillers aren't over-dramatized . I like the idea of a realistic thriller.

I read the first chapter only, I am not into police stories or bloody ones, but this one has something to it, it seems interesting, kind of sad, though.
