This is a really interesting concept! A fascinating, insightful exploration into issues for seniors, seniors with guns, and for those discovering their end is nigh. The sample had me engaged immediately, enjoying the characters, the writing, surprising action and promise of much more. Congratulations to the author for developing this premise; I look forward to reading the whole book.

This novel sounds like it has a lot going. I really want to know whose bright idea it was to come up with a watch that predicts one's end. I'm looking forward to reading it.

It seems fascinating to have this sports watch that could monitor your vital signs and tell you when you would go. Even if it sounds so eerie or dark, the chance of knowing the duration of one's life is appealing to some. On the other hand, would it not plunge you into anxiety of the highest level to wait for the final hour? Even just to wait for the coming of a train, for the arrival of a date, or for payday, so many things go up in our minds, how much more for the last breath? It will bear heavy in one's mind, to say the least. In this novel, it seems the that the Final Notice is really a sure inevitability to the characters that they reacted with measured moves. Unlike in cancer patients who are informed that their days are numbered, they could still hope for a healing to miraculously take place. And they could fall back on their faith in God if they happen to be a believer.

So many possible reactions will be exhibited by the recipients of the Final Notice. The book details these happenings with morbidity and stark reality. Thanks for your informative review.

'Official Review: Final notice', by Van Fleisher, gives a clear description of the contents of the book, and reflects upon the theme of the story.

This is a great review. I am definitely going to have to read the book. I can't imagine having a device that tells me when it's mine time or how long I have to live.

Thank you for a well written review! I am definitely curious to read about the sequence of events, along with the characters introduced. I think that this topic (gun control) is relevant, but is also mixed with the thriller a hypothetical setting that composed a suspenseful crime novel. Many people wonder what they would do if they were told how many days they have to live, and from what I read, there are different approaches/reactions to the situation. I always enjoy crime and mystery novels, and I definitely want to read how Van Fleisher developed the novel.

Great review. The opening statement of the book captivated me, and the plot is superb. I love when a book deals with social issues, and evokes important questions.

My previous comment on this review on November 17, 2017:
...sigh... I'm so on the fence about reading this book. Sounds like an awesome premise... but... according to the FBI.gov, more people die a year from texting (Not just while driving, mind you, but by walking off cliffs and things) than by guns. Do you know that 400 to 500 people a year, on average, get murdered by a hammer or club? So, yes, the whole "anti-gun" thing gives me hives.

I'm still allergic to anti-gun stuff... argh... but people will believe what they want. I know I shouldn't hold my ideas against this book, but this sort of idea for a book just doesn't interest me.

There are something's that people should probably not know. Science has a way of interfering and changing how these people choose to live the rest of their lives. But in this society a natural death isn't always the guaranteed matter of death. I will definitely enjoy reading this book. Its great that there are multiple perspectives exhibited in this book.

Thanks for the great review! I am definitely interested to how the author expands on the ideas presented. Based off the review, it seems interesting because the topic (gun control ) is relevant, but it is presented in a thriller and a hypothetical situation. I think that many people wonder what they would do if they were told that they only had a few days left to live and this novels seems to acknowledges the various reactions and presents multiple points of views. I personally enjoy reading crime and mystery novels, so I will definitely put this on the list of books that I want to read!

Based on this review I think this book would not be a good fit for me. I am very pro gun but other then that I feel this book sounds like a good read.

The book sounds like a great one and with doctors having such imaginations when they are all characters, I'm sitting here and imagining what could be going on in the writers head for him to have such vivid imagination. The machine must be amazing, a machine that foretells death and gives final notice. Honestly, I'm intrigued. It's definitely an interesting book!
