This plays like some of the terrorist movies I had watched in the past. The plot line is not new, as we anticipate the FBI agents to step in and save the nation. However, I'd love to see the direction the author took in this one. I like how you began your review. You provided a background narrative of the main characters. Amazing job you did.

"Waterworks" by Jack Winnick is a book where Lara and Uri are fighting against terrorism as agents. The terrorists have targeted the Los Angeles water system and have poisoned it. That could be devastating. Will Lara and Uri find the suspects? Read this book to find out. Great review. Congrats on BOTD!!

Overall the book was not bad. It was easily readable and understandable. In a book, I prefer a lot more character development, and this book lacked that. Also the pacing felt overall very rushed. Our secret agents only spend what seems like a week undercover, and they manage to uncover a lot in that short amount of time. The characters in this book are very flat. There isn't a lot of character development, and that deducts some points for me. Also some of the language seem as if it written by someone who does not speak English; it's very stiff and almost seems translated

Waterworks by Jack Winnick seems really thrilling and horrific. Here, terrorists have used water supply poisoning as their weapon, so it is really interesting to know how detectives solved the case. The story is fast-paced and a page-turner, so I really want to add it to my TBR list. Congratulations on the BOTD!

Jack Winnick's Waterworks elevates tales of terrorism to a terrifying new plane. Not all weapons have the same terrifying power over a city as firearms and missiles. Poisoning of the water source poses a serious risk. The fact that science and technology are used in the real world makes an attack quite likely. The clear explanations of technological and scientific subjects make them easy to understand. Similarly, the allusions to actual events provide enough context to increase the plausibility of the story.
