When it comes to certain aspects of the business world...it's pretty cutthroat and this book does a great job highlighting that and pointing out the dangers and lengths that businessmen will go to advance in the world and get a deal. I appreciate how much you enjoyed this book as it is reflected in your review. This book is on my to-be-read shelf and I look forward to reading it when I have the time.

This sounds like a great read. The beginning that I read was well done, and this review confirms the whole of it. Unresolved conclusions? We do, in our books, like to have all the ends bound up by the final page. Unlike life, which seldom offers the same option. Oh well, I will read it with gusto and look forward to the next installment.

Having read and enjoyed the sample of this book, it looks like a good one. However, the prospect of it being part of a series is highly discouraging. I just want a quick and enjoyable read without a cliff hanger.

Sounds appealing that there is some romance, but that it does not take over the plot. I also kind of like the fact that it seems to be an "airport" book that doesn't take too long.

A fascinating review indeed. The book caught my attention at the mention of 'murder.' And since I am a deep lover for C/T/M/H novels, I can't wait to get my hands on this one.

I seems like a good book to get into and I am very interested in reading it. However, I too find cliff hangers frustrating, so I will probably wait until the sequel is released. Thank you for your review, it has piqued my interest for this book.

No raunchy sex scenes?? How disappointing. Just kidding. This book sounds very exciting but the cliffhanger makes me apprehensive. Nice review!

Nice review! If I was on the fence about reading this book, you did a great job of convincing me it was worth it!

The sample really did pull me into the story. I was impressed by the quality of the writing but I would prefer a few more books in the series to be already published. I try to wait until a series has three books before I start the series. I'll be reading this book but after a couple more books but after a few more books but the shelf.

It sounds like the book was written well. The book had background information, was fast-paced, and included lots of intriguing elements, a clean romance, plot twists, and a thriller all in one. Max Burns got involved in the Panama Canal project that sounds like it could be dangerous.

Wow, this is a great review. Usually, I would hate to read a book like this, but this review sold me! I would have never thought that the Panama Canal could be so interesting!

I truly enjoyed the surprise twists to this story. Thank you for an exceptional review.

Nice review, you may have convinced me to read it, as I enjoy those books where romance is a side story and isn’t sexually explicit. And I’m one of those that almost always guesses the plot twists, so if they’re as shocking as you say, I just might give it a try.

Although this whole book looks very interesting, the cliffhanger is kind of off. Maybe because I am not a big fan if sequels. However, I am still very into this book! Loved your review!
