Crime thrillers are enjoyable but this one sounds far better than the average because of all the character development. I like seeing that the diverse characters all have challenges to face within the course of the main plot. Thanks for the great review!

Unfortunately, this doesn't sound like my kind of book mainly because of the explicit portrayal of the underworld (see Tony's interest in building a chain of sex clubs and his connections with the Italian mafia). Otherwise, Sophie's search for her own identity seems interesting. Thanks for a detailed review!

This book sounds like a nice crime thrillers. I like it that the character development of this book is superb plus an impressive plot. However, I'm not a fan of this genre, and therefore I'll pass on this one.

Although it isn't a genre I read often, I do like that it's written by actual investigators who know how the business works.

Thank you for the review. I could not make any sense from the sample of the book at Amazon until I read this your review. I now like the book being a crime thriller. I love such books when they are well written.

Sounds like an imaginative story of the perils of clinging to one’s youth and living in an illusion. I may give this one a read. Thanks for the review, Adedayo. :techie-studyingbrown:

As an avid reader, I am always positively surprised when I read the original plotline. It is great and for me the greatest of compliment when you say that the storyline was original. How interesting. Great review!

I am a fan of crime thrillers. I especially enjoy well-developed characters and witty dialog as described in this review. You have sold me with your review on this book and I look forward to finishing it. I am particularly interested in the development of Sophie as she learns to accept the reality of Tony's interest.

This romance/mystery sounds well-conceived. It's always satisfying when a good story is accompanied by good writing and authentic dialogue. Thanks!

A story about an old screen star who now in her sixties, clings to younger men as lovers. Her last boyfriend is Tony Orsini, a strange chatterbox less than half her age who cheats on her since he is actually a pimp with ties to the mafia.

I absolutely can't wait to dive into this book. It sounds like there's a lot of fun twists and turns. It's very intriguing and there's a uniqueness to the plot. That being said, I'm unsure that I've read a book or seen a movie with a similar plot, and that is refreshing.
