After reading this, I think I will love reading this book. It seems like a page-turner to read after work. Especially the character whom you described as using self-deprecating humor and sarcasm. I think I will totally relate to him on the humor bit :D
I loved your review. Great job!!

I've recently read Shifting Sands by Barry Litherland and I enjoyed it a lot. I'm definitely interested in Waves Break (on Unknown Shores), especially knowing that its protagonist is Phil - a character I grew to like in the previous book. Thank you for your great review!

Great review, although for the excessive profanity I would have given it a 3 rather than a 4. In my opinion, that detracts and distracts from the story and isn't necessary, no matter how common it is in society. Good literature only uses profanity as a a well-placed accent, not as a continuous stream of dialogue. For this reason, I would not chose to read it.

I am a sucker for mysteries and detective stories, so count me in. Seeing a childhood friend die will haunt me, too. Poor Stevie. I wonder how it happened.

Wow this books sounds interesting. It’s a little dark but I am curious to see why Phil believes him and his friends are in danger. Thanks for the excellent review.

The death of a childhood friend is witnessed and years later the three friends are haunted by it, Phil questions a one sided friendship, Wayne is arrested. The review was good.

"Waves Break (on Unknown Shores)" by Barry Litherland - An interesting story told in the first person of Phil, who has a childhood friend that he never really liked, but they kept company when they were grown-up. Phil is definitely likeable and a well developed character. I agree with the comments about too much profanity and that there is more of it now. Thanks for the great review.

This is a book presented in such a realistic way. As a thrilling mystery, it has piqued my interest. More so, with the introduction of Tina, a strong female character, I wouldn't want a delay in getting a copy for myself. Kudos to the author and Congrats on BOTD!
