This one appears to seriously get into the nitty gritty aspect of dark crime. Sounds interesting. But that cover really seriously detracts from what I am sure is an excellent book. Thanks for the review.

The book cover does not do much to attract attention. The sample certainly shows that the author can write an engaging crime/thriller and his narrative is descriptive. The topics covered; level of violence and necrophilia does not appeal to me. Thank you for the well thought out and concise review.

A crime thriller worthy of genre fans. The Nick Parker series sounds promising, with great character development and descriptions. Those who don't mind gruesome scenes and some sensitive/dark topics are in for a treat. Thank you for a wonderful review.

This book is classified as a crime thriller genre. I think some people might really love it, but it wasn’t my cup of tea. I have liked a couple of crime films and novels, but very very minimal. I think I’ll give it a try. 🙂

This is definitely my cup of tea. I really like to read crime thrillers which will make a reader anxious and fearful while reading. I also love to read how the cases unfolds. Even though the story deals with sensitive subject, as it is a fiction, I am completely ready to accept it. Very detailed and interesting review. Congrats on BOTD.

The story sounds fascinating, but I have been reading lots of action/crime thrillers lately. So I need a palate cleanser.

The cover makes you think that what kind of book it might be. But trust me it's an exceptional read. What a storyline it was. Wow.

Not a crime thriller but seems like a dark crime thriller. I seriously recommend this to mature readers and not to sensitive readers. I would like to read it but I'm also a kind of sensitive one, so will skip this one even though being a lover of crime thriller books. You wrote a great review!

I think the review has prepared me for the horrors, crime and abuse to expect in this book. Furthermore, in as much as we don't want to see them happen in our society, they still happen in reality. I would commend the author for exposing the ills in our society. Nice review.

Although I am interested in how the author explores the "consequences when a cop uses deadly force," I don't read books that feature rape as a catalyst for male character development, which it sounds like this one does. Thanks for your review, but this book is too violent for me.

This book seems like an exciting read with crime and action. Though I have to admit, I am a bit sensitive about topics like rape and sexual assault. The cover can do with a bit more work, to make the book look a lot more appealing to the readers. Thanks for the great review.
