The suspenseful journey of John Jones discovering Alexander's vampire journals in 'Children of the Eighth Day' has me intrigued. The battle between good and evil and the vivid descriptions of action and suspenseful scenes, promise an exciting read.

Wow, what a compelling story. I could not imagine reading those journals and discovering information that could determine life or death. Even though it’s a little scary for my taste, I love a good mystery, and that reason alone would make me want to read the rest of the book. Thank you for writing an honest and enticing review!

The review is quite elaborating, but the plotline sounds to be a labyrinth to me. As well as vampires and all those things, it scares me, but I am sure those people who like horror kinds of things will love it.

As an avid horror reader, I am beyond excited to read this! I like that the story jumps immediately from the beginning of the book and doesn't slow its pace, so the reader isn't bored. I enjoy feeling spooked and terrified while reading, and I feel like this book will accomplish those things easily.

This vampire story features Alexander McGill as an unusual hero. Despite being a vampire, he tries to save humanity. The story seems to deftly blend suspense and action. However, the profanities and abundance of violence may turn some readers off.

Sixteen year old John was very curious to know what was going on in the next house and decided to check it out only to come across a box filled with journals and upon examining the first journal, he discovered it had been written by Alexander McGill, who claimed to be a vampire. The diary described how the author had become infected and later began trying to prevent immoral vampires from overpowering the human race. However, John thought this was just a story. He didn’t realize that he was being watched and would soon be kidnapped. His discovery of the journals would alter his life forever.
