The title of this book piqued my interest. I wasn’t really hoping it’ll have nothing to do with the supernatural. Unfortunately for me, it is a supernatural kind of book. I’m sure people who can deal with that will have a great read!

A curious book for sure. Supernatural interactions between the living and the dead are mysterious enough to warrant reading.

I love the supernatural and can not resist a well-written short storybook. The fact that Garcia has written it all with female protagonists makes it even more interesting. Thank you for the great review. I now have this on my books-to-read pile!

Today’s BOTD is a real attention catcher. The title ‘Spirit Women’ was what first got me. And the very tasty cover image did the rest. Shadows, moonlight, caging—all heralding melancholy and a psychological war. I half thought, half fancied this book would be about phantoms or poltergeists. Now I know that was narrow thinking. But an author is entitled to depicting mastery over his craft. And Rolando Garcia does so excellently well, it appears, in this obviously remarkable book. Thanks for such a wonderful review!

In the book "Spirit Women" by Rolando Garcia, strong themes such as violence, addiction, and supernatural elements dominate. Morbidity and murder can certainly be added to that. The book is professionally edited.

I love short stories and this reviewer's style of writing has made me love it even more. I always thought supernaturals belonged on-screen but you convinced me that it'd be more interesting on paper. "
Congratulations on a well-thought-out review."-Faiso.
I, second this!

I'm a huge fan of supernatural tales and this collection of short stories will be added to my reading list. The paintings in the stories always made me recall a book I once read years ago which is also in the supernatural genre.

It sounds like a captivating collection of supernatural tales with a bizarre vibe to it. I’d love to read it and see what each story have to offer.

Your review is insightful and motivates me to read more. I appreciate that you mentioned feeling satisfied that each short story, as that’s often my concern with anthologies. It’s refreshing to be able to feel invested with the characters in a brief narrative.

Short stories don't appeal to me but especially horror stories. The concept of the book is interesting and readers of the genre will probably enjoy it.

Spirit Women by Rolando Garcia is a collection of short thriller stories on supernatural elements. I am not a fan of stories laden with supernatural elements.

Very good read to speed up transportation to university, I really enjoyed the collection, quite entertaining and captivating, but thanks to the short story format not time consuming. Still thoughts provoking and I was catching myself thinking of them all day long after morning read. Most heartfelt congratulations on BOTD!
