Great review! From the first chapter, as well as your description, this sounds like a book I would really enjoy.

I'm so happy about getting my discounted copy! Thank you for the great review! This true-life issue told in a fictional way caught my interest right from the beginning. Can't wait to read...congrats to the author on being BOTD!

Great review....as you rightly said, that the story is more than that of a crime investigation series...and the plot is just a frame narrative to put across the author's ideas for the resolution of racial differences

Great descriptive review! Like others have said it seems like a very interesting take on a mystery - two women working together to solve this case. I also like exploring the racial prejudice in this read. It adds another unique element. Thank you for the great review and congratulations to the author for receiving such a positive review!

I believe the book Open Season by Maryann Miller is a very nice book as I really enjoy homicide stories, just like I love them on TV. This looks very thrilling and I like its setting based in Texas. This is a great October read.
