Just based on the mystery and your description of the author's character development skills, I think I'll pick this up. Thanks for the great review!

Very interesting review, gali! I have been to Key West, so reading your review transported me right back there in memory! From what you wrote, this sounds like the author did a fantastic job in writing the book. I don't choose books in which I know there will be cussing, but depending on the frequency and how light is light, it might be a book I could really enjoy.

Words of caution: Many of the characters are fishermen - therefore there is swearing. They aren't as bad about it as golfers, of course, but still ...

I didn't notice the swearing other than a very minor amount. If the swearing was there, it pretty much faded into the woodwork.

I absolutely enjoyed Free Fish Friday! It's pretty awesome that you wrote the review, gali, and it was chosen for this month's BOTM. Great pick and great review! :)

The beginning definitely grabbed me, but I agree, I wasn't at the edge of my seat throughout. Regardless, I still enjoyed it! Congratulations to the author for receiving such a positive review!

You made Slacker sound like a very interesting character 'untied by worldly possessions, or clingy relationship, he is a happy camper'. I can understand your getting hooked with the story. I think I will enjoy it as well.
