"Young Americans" by Peter S. Rush is an eye opener for those who are interested in learning about actual events of a drug dealer’s life, violence, the shootings, and the prison life. This can be used to teach children under one’s supervision to stay away from drugs.

"Young Americans" by Peter S. Rush is a gripping and well-edited novel that delves into the life of Tommy, a troubled young man who enters the world of drug dealing. The character development is outstanding, with Tommy's growth and honesty standing out. The supporting characters add depth to the story, making it come alive. The book provides valuable insights into the harsh reality of the drug trade, including violence, shootings, and prison life.

Although the novel is well-written, the dangers of a drug dealer's life, filled with violence, sex, and profanities, are not for the fainthearted.

I am sorry to say, but I am not fond of the time period and most certainly of the main subject matter the book is addressing. While I totally agree that such social issues should be eliminated by any means necessary and monsters committing these abominable acts punished most severely, I really don't want to read how it affected the survivors.

Steve has had a really hard life and the hustle out there is real. I would also drop out if school if I knew that a degree wouldn't do much for me because honestly, it doesn't matter how many degrees you have nowadays. All you need is skills.
I am sure I wi love this book if I read it because it sounds so realistic. Congratulations on making the book of the day though.

Growing up as a kid may determine your choices in choosing which path to take while getting into adulthood stage, for Tommy in Young Americans by peter .S. Rush shows us how he was determined to leave his past that includes his family to go and look for an easy life he didn't have hoping to get money to build himself other than spending time in school. Am truly enjoying this book and hoping to see where hus story goes.

Tommy's tragic childhood may have been responsible for the choices he made as an adult.
I hope he found light eventually. Congrats on the BOTD.

Sadly this isn’t my kind of read but well done for being BOTD and receiving such a high score by the OnlineBookClub and Amazon. Having read the reviews this would for some, including me, be a difficult read as it faces the reasons behind how some people disappear into the world of drugs and crime. Childhood trauma can and does have far reaching affects which can stay with that person their whole life, and sadly end it too soon.

"Young Americans" by Peter S. Rush delves into the story of Tommy, who embarks on a risky journey from selling weed to the cocaine trade. The book is well-edited, providing a smooth and enjoyable reading experience. It receives a 5-star rating, with praise for character development and Tommy's transformation. While the drug trade's harsh realities, violence, and prison life are depicted realistically, the excessive use of profanity may deter some readers. The book is recommended for mature audiences due to explicit content. It offers a gripping insight into the world of drug smuggling and its consequences.

I already feel like Tommy is a relatable character. His life adventures are a reflection of most youths today. I got a free copy and can't wait to dive in. Nice review.

This book deals with very heavy themes of child molestation, drugs and drug dealing. Was that the only path left for Tommy? Would like to see how he ended up.
