I recently got my hands on the first book of Lara and Uri's series and was thoroughly impressed by Jack Winnick's ability to craft gripping and authentic storylines rooted in real-life terrorist threats against the United States and Israel. The characters were well-developed and the plot was both engaging and thought-provoking. Needless to say, I can't wait to dive into the rest of the series and discover where the story takes me next.

One more instalment by Jack Winnick that continues the arc of Lara and Uri. The review has me interested and intrigued on the story. Terrorism through water must have a gripping bit of suspense and sense of urgency to save the masses. Can't wait to experience the story first hand!!

Action-packed, fast paced espionage sounds like a great thriller. Poisoning a big city's water supply is a cowardly act, typical of terrorists. This is just a novel, but the threat is very real. Thank you for the great review.

The book takes terrorism stories to a whole new level of horror. Firearms and missiles are not the only weapons that can terrorize a city. Water supply poisoning is a severe threat. This attack is highly possible because of the existence of science and technology in the real world. I enjoyed reading the book.

Waterworks is a captivating spy novel about terrorist attacks on the California water supply. Agents Edmond and Levin from the Israeli Mossad go undercover to find the culprits and attempt to prevent the next attack. Winnick weaved his knowledge and expertise into the story, providing a variety of detailed settings, well-developed characters, and a compelling plot. Excellent book review fill with insight and detail.

Winnick has created a fabulous duo in Lara and Uri, and I hope that some production studio will eventually create an episodic television program featuring their exploits. I would undoubtedly binge on that series!

Spying is a very demanding job. "Waterworks" reflects on the lives of Lara and Uri working as spies and the nature of their work. Terrorism can't give them enough time to plan their lives together. A very thrilling, action-packed, and fast-paced international espionage to read. Congratulations to the author on BOTD!

Yes, I agree and love the first review that delves into a perfect description of the book. Waterworks captivated my attention from beginning to end. Especially from the beginning when it describes the weapon used and how they chose to use it. The couple in the story were also intriguing. Definitely a must read

Thank you so much for your insightful and detailed review of "Waterworks" by Jack Winnick. It's heartening to hear that the novel resonated with you on various levels. The unique premise of addressing terrorism through water supply poisoning adds a chilling layer to the narrative, and it's gratifying to know that the scientific and technological aspects were conveyed in a clear and accessible manner. Your appreciation for the inclusion of real-world occurrences and historical backgrounds enhances the plausibility of the plot, adding depth to the storytelling.

It's especially pleasing to learn that the fast-paced nature of the narrative was a highlight for you. The sense of urgency, coupled with the element of misdirection, appears to have kept you captivated, making the book a compelling page-turner. Your acknowledgment of the personal lives of the spies and the exploration of their challenges in maintaining undercover identities adds a human touch to the action and political intrigue, creating a well-rounded and balanced narrative.

We also appreciate your constructive feedback regarding the inclusion of English translations for foreign languages and phrases. Your suggestion is valuable, as it not only aids readers unfamiliar with these languages but also contributes to a more comprehensive understanding of the cultural context. Your caution for sensitive readers regarding explicit content is thoughtful and will undoubtedly guide potential readers in making informed choices.

In conclusion, we are thrilled that "Waterworks" left a lasting impression, and we're grateful for your enthusiastic recommendation to fans of action-packed, fast-paced international espionage. We hope that the novel continues to find its audience, and we look forward to sharing more captivating stories from the Lara and Uri series in the future.

I enjoyed your telling review of "Waterworks" by Jack Winnick. This is the fifth book in the series but it can be read as a standalone. Since all of the author's books in this series are about terrorism and the relationship of Lara and Uri, I think I would like to read the whole action pack series. I have read the summaries and reviews of the other books and found all of them interesting. This book is about how spies were able to contaminate the water source in Los Angeles something quite different from the other books. I am looking forward to reading this series. Congratulations to the author for BOTD.

I love political thrillers and I think Jack Winnick is a wizard in creating them. Terrorists attacking water supplies sounds almost too realistic, and Lara & Uri's cat and mouse game with the terrorists is definitely entertaining. I also love these two characters; I am happy that they previously found each other, but I'm afraid the world will never be peaceful enough for these two to take it easy. Thank you for the lovely review!

Just like the other installments in the series, this presents an interesting plot of terrorism. They threaten to contaminate the water of the entire city of Los Angeles with the element polonium. Sounds interesting.

"The plot delves into the personal lives of spies as well. It investigates the considerable difficulties of working undercover. Starting a family, exposure to illicit affairs, and worrying about their partner are all concerns for married spies. This personal side balances the action and political aspects."
Now this is something previous reviewers haven't mentioned. Everyone focuses on the plot, but these characters are worth mentioning as well.
