Great review. Thanks for the warning on the nature of the sexual content.

Oh, the book seems to combine all aspects of what I dislike reading: horror and sexually explicit material.
For that matter I don't think that I will touch this book anytime soon. My view is that we need the optimist approach to issues now, as some people these days try to enact what they read or view, like the Colorado Movie Theater shooting. Regardless, I think the author is entitled to express herself in any democratic manner.

I became quite intrigued after reading this review. I thank you for the caution about the potentially disturbing nature of some of the content. I prefer to be given a heads up that something could possibly push a button I'd rather not be pushed. I have add this to my "want to read" shelf and downloaded it to my kindle.

I am so psyched about this book! I love horror, and the more creepy and disturbing, the better. Looking forward to checking this one out for sure. Thanks for the insightful review. You definitely made it sound even better!

Main character walks into an old bookstore and is drawn to "a dark book with whimsical, purple lettering"...sold! This line alone made me want to read the entire book NOW! The descriptive and emotional writing of the first few pages hooked me. I may regret it when the nightmares come, but I can't resist!

The plot of this first installment sounds enthralling! I think that I will especially love Aubrey's story.

It definitely sounds like a creepy, intense book. I guess I'll have to try it out for myself. Thanks for the great review!

Very nice review. I had already read this book. It is very interesting but some of the contents of this book are not suitable for sensitive readers.

I'm not really into reading books with disturbing content but this book does seem pretty interesting. I'm really curious on what happens but the sexual and disturbing content is putting me off in reading the book. Great review!

I'm not sure about the whole gag-worthy sexual content. I'm not opposed to more mature themes but I'm not overly fond of feeling like I just entered a porno. I've read another review that didn't enjoy the book so it's always interesting to see the different points of views on a book.

Horror is not really my genre because it keeps me awake several nights after reading. With the nice review presented, those who love horror genre will definitely love this story.
