This book addresses the issue of the crisis of addictive painkillers called Opioids. Although the story is fictional, it is very realistic and timely. I'm curious to understand why the manufacturers of these products are still allowed to continue producing them. The plot sounds intriguing.

Your review is very informative; thank you for sharing. I can tell from your review that this book might be a book I would like to read. The legal aspects of the book would be my point of interest. Going after large corporations would be a massive undertaking, and it sounds like there is an educational opportunity here. The ring of truth to the story is also appealing to me. Thank you for mentioning the editing. I just finished a couple of books that were not edited at all; they were not enjoyable to read. This book will be one for the "want to read" list.

I can imagine the disaster of receiving an incorrect medicine or dosage from the physician you trust. I believe the book will serve as an awakening call about the seriousness of consuming incorrect drugs. Thanks for a free copy!

So many people get hooked on painkillers if they land in a situation where they have to use them for an extended period. Doctors don't always tell patients of the dangers up front. These people often turn to illegal drugs, when they can't obtain the drugs legally any longer. I look forward to reading this book. Thank you for the review.

Congrats on BOTD!
Concerns concerning how easily less ethical doctors write prescriptions for painkillers, etc., have been raised frequently in recent years. This novel explores a fictitious but realistic world where opioids have had horrific, permanent effects on people.

We often have to leave home for better opportunities, and leave behind our loved ones. Some events in life happen such that we have to miss those opportunities, too. The same thing happens with the main lead of the story. Congratuons on BOTD, and best wishes for future projects.
