This story is that of a strong woman who fled difficulties back home only to face struggles of another kind in a foreign country. It would be interesting to know how she handles these new challenges—does she escape once again or face them with resolve?

The book sounds thrilling, I would love to read about how Jeannie survived in Canada after escaping her abusive husband only to be in more drama.

Excellent review! Thank you!

Today's BOTD follows Jeannie from Mumbai to Canada after faking her own death to escape from her abusive husband...but she now faces an entirely new set of problems and obstacles. I'm looking forward to learning more about Jeannie and if she finally gets to live the life she deserves. Thanks again!! :-)

What an informative review! I sampled a few pages, and I, too, felt thrilled from the very start. I liked Jeannie's multi-dimensional character and how it interplayed with her new look. I did not notice errors or unnatural dialogues you mention in the review but then I am yet to read further. As a fan of thrillers, I will enjoy reading this book!

"See Me: A Jeannie Johal Thriller" by Susann Camus. An interesting book, talks about Jeannie Johal who faked her death six months ago and fled Mumbai all because she wants to get away from her controlling and abusive husband. But then was she finally free, living the life she wanted? The author's writing style was great, the suspense in this book will have readers to keep reading. Congrats on your #BOTD.

Definitely interested in the thriller genre. While the concept of fleeing from a bad situation and starting over somewhere else is not new, it also never gets old for me especially if the characters are so well thought out. Location Canada is another plus.

Thanks to the author for a free copy! From the review, the plot seems to be well executed. I really can't wait to see how Jeannie succeeds in faking her death and how she lives afterward. Nice review.

Sometimes, what we thought was an escape plan turns out to be our undoing. This is the undoing of Jeannie as she discovers her new reality. Will she face it and succeed or will she be doomed? The book is interesting. I recommend it to adults.
